Decent asking price (assuming room to negotiate too). Just a few dents kind of spoil it? That does look nice such shame about the dents, will need some money spending on it to get nice though and very likely screaming for a cambelt & pump?
kag8
Yeah that's the thing to be wary about low mileage cars, they probably haven't had the cambelt and water pump done.
Administrators hughezee Posted November 15, 2017 Author Administrators Report Share Posted November 15, 2017 Another that's screaming out for a timing belt shame it's not in gold https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1999-T-HONDA-ACCORD-2-0-ES-2D-147-BHP/263292443541?
Mangoman
I like the way they give a 30 Day Extended Warranty..... The law says you have a 3 Month automatic warranty on any second hand car bought from a dealer. It is quite true that they do not have to be 'offered' as it is given by law and there is no way a dealer can opt out of this situation. Nice looking motor though! (Except the colour - Silver is a pet hate of mine).
Site Subscriber’s davebrads Posted November 16, 2017 Site Subscriber’s Report Share Posted November 16, 2017 Silver's not my favourite either - but my car's silver. I have been playing around in Paint Shop Pro (cheap alternative to Photoshop) and I have come up with this: (not my car BTW - original photo robbed off the internet) A bit gaudy perhaps, but inspired by my classic Bianchi Marco Pantani bike: Perhaps it's a good thing that I don't have the money for the respray 2
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted November 16, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted November 16, 2017 I suppose it's better than this place : https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.3870239,-0.0519805,3a,15y,152.27h,87.17t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sArC3by2mKE0pYA45QkhIUA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en Hopefully that comes up with the streetview image, if not go to the map and the village name is on the speed limit signs on the "30" side.

Believe it or not I've actually been very near there, even saw a sign for the place when I did my Hand, Arm Vibration Training at WATA in Huntingdon. I stayed in a B&B in King's Ripton not far away. Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted November 18, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted November 18, 2017 There's a lot of very strange place-names round here Bill, i found a Christmas Hill Farm recently nowhere near a hill, many moons ago just off the A10 (before they changed it) i found a signpost pointing towards Cold Christmas, the next village on from me contains a hamlet called Little London and if you go out in the Fens, there are some even odder names! There's a very broad spectrum out there in the Fens. I know of one person, very highly qualified/educated, pretty much a genius in terms of IQ and a millionaire. Lives in a house hidden away down a road that is barely more than a dirt track, drives a battered old Land-Rover and uses a bit of string instead of a belt. At the other end of the scale, there's another bloke, mad as a box of frogs, only has a bath on his birthday (if others around are lucky) because the bath is full of coal at all other times. Drives like a constant stream of invisible (to the passengers at least) trees jump into the road in front of him - had a lift from him once, NEVER AGAIN!!!! That's just two, there are countless others!
Moderators PTR200S Posted January 23, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 This one looks to be exceptional if the blurb is correct.... 33k miles, half Honda service history, rest with Honda tech, two owners....and BIG money https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WOW-A-VERY-RARE-GENUINE-LOW-MILEAGE-HONDA-ACCORD-3-0i-V6-COUPE-AUTO-IN-SILVER/152876435697?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted January 23, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 If that is as genuine as the ad makes out, it's probably worth what they're asking - after all, try finding another in that condition, mileage etc with the cam belt already done!

welland99
Therd can't be many cars of any type of that age with history and condition that good.
Administrators hughezee Posted January 23, 2018 Author Administrators Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 it is cracking example but I put money ATF- DW1 being in the box, so hopefully, only one part change given the mileage... 2
Founding Member Mazda Man Posted January 23, 2018 Founding Member Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 There is NO WAY that coupe is worth almost £4K. Yes the private reg is worth a few £’s and the car appears in excellent condition but come on. Why would it have had two cambelt changes already? Or am I being Mr Suspicious? i also don’t like the way Every Word Is Capitalised. Very weird.
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted January 23, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 Time Geoff, time. That's why it's had two belt changes. The bit that bothers me is what bothers me for every extremely low mileage car.

Just buy it Geoff and we all would be jealous and it would be the most appreciating coupe in the club, as it would be used daily but for very few miles, so it would stay in A1 condition for many years to come.

Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted January 24, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted January 24, 2018 In short, it's never got warm so constantly running on choke and suffered fuel wash into the bores. I've known a few cars that needed new engines before they reached 20k miles, the one that really stuck was a Mk3 Escort about 30 years ago - 17k on the clock from new and it was worn past the limits where it could have been rebored!
Administrators hughezee Posted January 25, 2018 Author Administrators Report Share Posted January 25, 2018 This might not be a minter but could very likely fall in line with what Dave is saying about not changing your oil or carrying out some form of maintenance annually regardless of the mileage and with only 11 service stamps in 17 ish years this could be one to actually avoid. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BEAUTIFUL-2000-HONDA-ACCORD-3-0I-V6-COUPE-AUTO-FULL-HISTORY-LADY-OWNER-16-YEARS/232621582953?

I kinda felt like that Dave but have realised that ours is appreciating slowly.....this one has gone down £500 and I'm sure hel'll still find it difficult to sell on. With that said....the paint work and lacquer is like new.

Considering it hasn't had a fluid change since 70k it's probably past its sell-by date in terms of time, never mind mileage!
