  1. Would be a shame to dump it, just because of an alternator.
  2. thanks, I suppose you have to go through the US eBay site, to access them here?
  3. Did all 3.0 Coupes not come with a spoiler? Thought it was just the 4 cylinder models.
  4. Timing belt kit and water pump back in stock now, and my local garage has now fitted these! Great stuff. It was a good 10 years since it was last replaced, and while I have not noticed any difference at low speeds, it feels a lot smoother at higher speeds, 40mph plus. Apparently Blueprint kit.
  5. Then I found the exhaust was blowing around one of the tail pipe joints, which had rusted away to nothing. I have still got that complete system I bought on eBay, but I think I will sleeve it, as the tail pipe itself is pretty good.
  6. All done now. Couldn't get the hang of how the push fit connector went on the filter, and all the O rings fell out on to the floor and also in the pan that was slowly filling up with unleaded! Managed to prop the pipe up above the low level of petrol in the tank to stop it all dribbling out, but the driveway still smells like a refinery! Once I found how all the O rings went back together, I managed to get it all back together and no leaks either. This picture shows a rough idea as to how the rings go back, which seemed logical for the fuel filter. Basically, if I'm right, it's -O ring, spacer, Oring and then the collett on top which mates with the male end and spring clip.
  7. Is there a trick to stopping all the fuel from draining out of the tank when you remove the lines? I inadvertently removed the push fit connector on the 'out' pipe and all of the o rings fell out. Grrrrrr😪😪Any idea which way they all go back? I could just buy a new one........

  9. Found these stickers on eBay the other day. Not really a fan of stickers on my 'modern',(Hyundai Tucson) but I thought these summed our cars up just about right!
  10. Someone stopped me in the street the other day, longing to buy mine after owning one a few years ago. Said he hadn't seen one in years! Love it when you get reactions like that!!
  11. Nice silver coupe, reg ending KOV, was on this week's Hub Nut episode at Brooklands museum. Was that anyone here?
  12. Wow, wish I'd read this post 4 days ago! I covered my dashboard with a dark felt material, to help with reflections in the windscreen, which did work very well actually, but the felt was looking a bit tired, and by the time I removed it , a sticky residue from the double sided spongey tape crap that I had used remained. I tried lots of different fluids to remove it, and the only one that was effective was cellulose thinners. Unfortunately, one patch closest to the windscreen started reacting and like you guys have already said, there is a thin film of plastic or something covering the dashboard, and it started to come away. I paniced a bit, but it didn't look too bad after letting it dry properly and rubbing it with that horrible black trim creamy stuff. Could have been a lot worse. Any other ideas about preventing reflections?
  13. Ohh....love to see some exhaust pics please. Mid section of mine is not standard.
  14. I did the same last year too. 'new' internals and a brand new aftermarket case. Works a treat.
  15. That's what I thought. They're not making any more exhausts for these.
  16. I had a boot bin off of this seller, to replace the 6xCD changer that was now superfluous following a stereo upgrade. He put it up for £25 and I made a counter offer of £18, which he accepted. Looks really neat now in the boot, and nearly symmetrical , and very Zen!! Also had the exhaust from them as well, which I put an offer in of £150 which was accepted, and came down on a pallet from Scotland (see previous posts). Good service I will say. My back yard is looking a bit like a scrap yard now though, what with bits off my StreetKa as well! That is a very fun car by the way!
  17. You're right! Not for the price I paid!
  18. The seller had to remove the tailpipes and secure them separately on the pallet. Very well packaged for transport.
  19. This one doesn't seem to have an O2 sensor, should it? To be honest, I'm not bothered as I wanted the tail section really, but it appears that the cat convertor is still in situ. My existing mid section that's on the car has been made up by an exhaust specialist (prior to me buying it) but does have an O2 sensor screwed in.
  20. Well done!! Wasn't hard, was it. Did you see them on eBay too?
  21. Can you guess what it is yet? I'm talking about the thing on the pallet, not the Coop!
  22. Certainly a nice colour. Not seen one in red before. Those bulbs in my opinion, are a pain to change if they are anything like the fog light and headlight adjuster switch. They are tiny, with very long wires. Grain of wheat bulbs. Not been able to find original ones. Enjoy your car, I think they're great, and love them for the rarity factor.
  23. I'm in Bristol today, daughter is having treatment at the BCH today and you passed us on the way in, on the A4. I was in the Vectra though. You weren't hanging about, either, on a promise maybe? 😅😅
