Yet the advert shows sorn / mot 2014? So tried to sell previously maybe but the fact is the car is taxed till March? ? !! I tried buying that car when it was first advertised on the Rover forum some 3 ish years back and was told it had been scrapped. It is an MoT failure for the light being on but it is perfectly possible it has passed with no problem. Very often when a sensor fails it doesn't show as a fault at the self-test procedure which happens when the car is first started so the ABS light comes on with ignition and then goes out a few seconds later. When the car is driven on the road and speed exceeds about 10mph then the duff sensor shows up by not giving an output. That's when the ABS light will come on. Moderators PTR200S Posted March 6, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted March 6, 2017 Now you mention it I recall having a problem with a nineties aerodeck sensor and that did the same, looked ok when stationary but came on at about 7mph if I recall correctly,,,turned out to be a wheel sensor as you say. I know that sometimes the mot brake tester machinery can activate the light and at that point the tester can do an " on the road test" apparently. ... have to check that detail with my mot man.... What bugs me is the number of times these mot reports show up tyres that are worn to hell and back...not just this car but loads of them, does nobody check their tyres anymore? 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
