Administrators hughezee Posted January 13, 2018 Author Administrators Report Posted January 13, 2018 Looks okay for now Pete, if it was my motor I would definitely be replacing it though, as once they do fail they put allot stress on the differential on the gearbox and both coupes I've seen with failed diffs have seriously deteriorated mounts. 2 1
Moderators PTR200S Posted January 13, 2018 Moderators Report Posted January 13, 2018 Looks like a replacement jobby at honda6 HQ then !!!! 3
Founding Member Mazda Man Posted January 14, 2018 Founding Member Report Posted January 14, 2018 I’d get it changed pronto Pete, Stu did mine and had it swapped out before you could say Honda Legend. 2
Administrators hughezee Posted August 8, 2019 Author Administrators Report Posted August 8, 2019 No big cracks or leaks (oil filled) but serious movement, so swapped out the used spare I fitted a while ago on Project Emerald and fitted a new replacement. 👍 3
Site Subscriber’s Chrismas Posted October 28, 2019 Site Subscriber’s Report Posted October 28, 2019 Interesting post, my V6 seems to make the car lurch when it starts up. Is that normal or the start of something deteriorating? It too has just turned 100,000. 1
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted October 28, 2019 Moderators Report Posted October 28, 2019 When it starts or when you put it into "D"? Or both?
Site Subscriber’s Kelvin Posted October 28, 2019 Site Subscriber’s Report Posted October 28, 2019 I'm gonna turn 100k this week and I reckon mine is starting to go. 1 1

Just on start, little bit in D, but that's normal in most automatics I've had. When it's warm, it seems to start with no lurching. 1
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted October 28, 2019 Moderators Report Posted October 28, 2019 When was the last ATF change done?

Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted October 29, 2019 Moderators Report Posted October 29, 2019 Sounds like a part-change is in order then, followed by 2 or 3 more about a month apart then once a year. You'll be surprised at the difference it makes! 3
Administrators hughezee Posted June 5, 2022 Author Administrators Report Posted June 5, 2022 Check your mounts peeps, this one looked ok but had excessive play and once removed it reveals why. 😮 3
Moderators PTR200S Posted June 5, 2022 Moderators Report Posted June 5, 2022 Mine has soldiered on since last look but I did notice this last few weeks that it "knocks" once on start up (twice on the pipes !!! ) now. Not unlike the knock of the top engine mount on a mini, the original version of yesteryear!! Looks like one is on the cards, any place good to supply genuine or an aftermarket part ?? Edit: just thinking now that I did notice the gear changes a bit less than subtle in recent weeks... 3

Could be the start of it failing. Please let me know the price too. 4

Administrators hughezee Posted June 9, 2022 Author Administrators Report Posted June 9, 2022 They have another listing for the same part: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334016568242 2

I messaged these guys, and apparently they can't source them here at the moment. They get them from Poland, and they are pattern parts, not OEM, and again, can't source them there either. 1
Site Subscriber’s Chrismas Posted June 10, 2022 Site Subscriber’s Report Posted June 10, 2022 https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/50820s87a81?gadw=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw14uVBhBEEiwAaufYx_yhmOslxPy7ZzEkcaB6iwHUNt3m2Epk_jyD8mywaf4K2cdxKCYm8xoCOWEQAvD_BwE It would appear Autodoc have them. I've used them before and they're pretty good, so long as you are confident of the part numbers. Might treat myself to a bigger order to justify the carriage costs. 1

The genuine OEM ones are in excess of 100 notes each and I have been using a solid aftermarket mount for a few years now and no complaints.👍 2 hours ago, Chrismas said: It would appear Autodoc have them.
