  1. Hi Deano I had this on my 8th gen when I had rear arms replaced. The problem was the car was not loaded when new arms were fitted causing the rear to skip when hitting bumps. The correct way when replacing suspension parts is to fit them hand tight and drop the weight of the car then torque up. otherwise the car will be fighting with the bushes if tightened first if this makes sense.
  2. Be carful with civic wheels as they are made for a lighter car. The Accord and legend are a lot heavier than the civic so this might put extra pressure on the wheels. I would go for Accord wheels rather than civic as the Accord is around the same weight.
  3. That’s the same menu in the 7th and 8th gen Geoff. Although I think I prefer Dave’s ?
  4. Very true. Also the led lamps are probably a lot more friendly to oncoming traffic. Although Iv nether been flashed with with my hids. Maybe because I have projectile lenses fitted.
  5. Just an update on the new led They passed with a perfect light beam on the mot. Also took the car out in a dark lane the other night and the light output is very good. Not as good as my after market hids but better than halogen lamps.
  6. Great to see you and Lenny bud and was amazed how smooth and quiet he was. I might have to get one myself lol
  7. I did mine Pete yesterday at Honda HQ and was a very tricky job indeed. It took all of 2 min to replace ?

    Hi

    Welcome to the forum Dean.
  9. Another fantastic day at Honda HQ and great to catch up with Stu and Nicky and Geoff with Lenny. LED headlights now fitted so will take some photos up tonight when it dark. I forgot my light meter but had one on my iPhone and the lux level was slightly more than my after market HIDS.
  10. Welcome along Tim and looking forward to the photos.
  11. Just had a quick search and you can still get new 17” steels for around £50 new. Im thinking 17”or 18” for lenni. Just need the correct off set as you can go 16” with a fatter tire.
  12. Very true Dave it’s only the small town cars these days with steels.
  13. Well lights have turned up and can’t wait for next month to fit at Honda HQ.
  14. Ouch that looks like a wack there. You can get wheels reburbished for £40 but all depends if it’s buckled. You might be better off just getting a steel rim for a spare as there cheap and hopefully will nether need it.
  15. The same sat nav as mine but I’m still running 2010 disk. As said fake ones will burn the dvd out a lot quicker than a genuine disk. I was going to upgrade to the latest maps but at £160 I bought a map instead.?
  16. Pete in the 8th gen HIDS come as standard on the diesel type S but an optional extra on all others. The hids installed are after market ones. When I’m at Stues I will do a reading between the new and old. Should be interesting as the LEDs should give a perfect light output as claimed.
  17. Hopefully there not to bright but I do no my MOT tester so fingers crossed. Im thinking there going to be almost the same light output as my HIDS but without the start up flickering. Also less heat and power consumption. I think when I go up to see Stu I will test my HIDS against the new leds with the meter. Iv been waiting for these to have a good discount on for a few months now and got them for £86 with discount.
  18. The link is below Dave and they do look like the business. I no the owner of Horizon so hopefully they will be what is said. There are some cheap ones on the market and TBO are rubbish. Iv got a light meter in work so will test for lux levels. Also I got 30% off the original price http://www.horizonleds.co.uk/exterior-leds/cree-led-headlights/h1-led-headlights-headlamps/h1-philips-lumileds-luxeon-led-headlight-kit-v2
  19. Well it’s that time of year again for a service at Honda HQ. This time Iv ordered a set of LED headlight lamps to replace my 5 year old HIDS. Iv asked Stu to give me a hand wire fitting as well as the regular service. The leds Iv ordered are Phillips ones with a lux level of 4000 so will be brighter that my HIDS.
  20. Totally agree Dave. I remember worrying a few years back about a smell of petrol in my oil. This was down to doing a lot of short journeys and engine not getting to optimum temperature. hence rich fuel getting absorbed into the oil. Also a very good idea for more oil changes to overcome this issue.
  21. I will agree with 6k and fresh oil. My car starts to loose MPG after 5k and almost says to me change the oil for max performance and MPG
  22. Welcome to the forum Martin and what a lovely looking car you own.
