That is BAD !!!!!! Lucky you got a dribble to prewarn you...complete failure gets a lot of water out if the hose pops off π±π±π±π±π± As said , bloody cold !! You are a hero !! π₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Ά -
I fitted a Bosch S4 battery 005 to mine in May 22. This one https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/bosch/s4005/ Seems to be ok and fitted perfectly. Yuasa 3000 battery is a good shout, using those on the Coupe and Jazz at moment.

I would suggest you disconnect the battery and charge it off a proper battery charger to get it back up to strength. Running around a few miles isn't enough...it takes around 10 miles to recharge a battery after just one cold start . From a flat battery scenario you need a proper charge. The other thing would be to get a drop test done on the battery just to see if there is any loss of capacity as it has been down to next to nothing based on your slow start comment. -
Great stuff !! Get those pics up and tell us how you got on with the changes π€

Could be a damp problem, a month of sitting around and with the sort of weather we have had... Now you have driven it again things may start intermittently as they "dry" out.....especially as I presume it was OK before you stopped driving it ???? My Coupe , after sitting a while, has some intermittent dash readings more so with the heater display but a few drives about over a couple of days and it's happy again.. low battery charge also plays havoc with dash displays. Have a look here at some of my stuff plus comments re damp etc... -
Looking good ππππππ Can't get over the low miles ππππ

Take off the lower panel so you can see what is going on.. it will be very obvious if the pipe clamp is going into meltdown..or the radiator ....can just about get to it to change the clamp for a new one . If you can't see it properly get your phone under there and take a picture then you can examine it at your leisure when you are upright !!! -
Did you charge the battery whilst connected to the car ? If so disconn at least the earth cable before charging. Its possible that the battery is shorted inside and bizarrely I have seen the flashing headlight problem before with relays clicking on and off,,,all down to the battery !!! Maybe the bcm is having a fit.... what was the battery voltage ?? Was it completely flat....may have done a plate in the battery.. Of course that doesn't answer the question in the first place as to why it went flat to start with. Not trying to teach you to suck eggs but can you try another fully charged battery first before dismantling the car completely ππ

That must have been the last of the mk1 versions, 1982 brought the mk2 out.. Looks weird in the four door version, wonder how many were made for the UK Market compared with the 3 door version... Nearly bought a mk2 3 door after my mk1 but went to the darkside and got a Volvo 360GLT...

The gasket looks good, just swap it over carefully, right way up, πππ... I suspect its the thickness, height of the rubber that may be causing a problem rather than the notch though...still worth the try with the old gasket...don't go mad tightening the housing up...too tight causes distortion problems with the gasket and the housing.

Forgot to say, new part number for s2000 filter..15400-PCX-306....
-
Use the S2000 oil filter, loads aftermarket but I always use genuine , search the part number, places like Balmers Lawncare, would you believe !!!, sometimes offer them at a good price as do a number of Honda suppliers...as said by Josh. Have a look here for a lot of the answers https://honda6.ipbhost.com/forum/115-engine-faults/ And here

Nice find !! but shows on a Domani four door ?? A Civic to us, early 90's Is that the right one ??? The ZB is the antique gray, ZC , dunno !! ......How do I find the dimensions ??asking for a friend ππππ

The problem I see with that is the fact its 80mm x 10mm....and that's before the " i-" gets cut off. The original is 95mm x 12mm. Good point, as you say, is it would be worth contacting them to see if they could chop the "i" and expand the size. Mine are not exactly correct but it's close....
