Do I just introduce a 1 litre change at a time? or drop as much as it can? Could do with speaking to Honda dealer to see if they recorded a change of oil around 45K ? and what it was !!!

Are your wheels 17 ? Standard? Think mine 16? I will be following your polishing regime! Your motor looks fantastic, not sure if i can get anywhere near but will try ! Have to sort some paint issues in summer.

Brill, thanks! Do you know what decibel level is on these tyres? Seems as if the new tyres are around 67 as opposed to around 72, I see yiu list 45 series,,,is it not 55 , i think my wheels are 16" too ? I think that Honda cars generally are noisy on tyres / suspension particularly the recent models, my 2.4 tourer is horrible on budget tyres that it came with, can't wait to wear them out

Not sure what to do on gearbox oil.. the box is very smooth, no clonks or jerks in the short distance i drove it. The reverse just snicks in and out no sounds or jump at all. Do I leave it for time being? I could check to see if Honda can tell me if irs been changed and, of course, WHAT type of oil did they put in it ?!! Thanks for oil filter code, I actually have one of those in stock, required filter for the S2000 so always have one around. bigger capacity I think than the ones for the other Honda models, which I also have in my stores cupboard. Very sad, I know.

Thanks for the info, need to check the radio out properly in the daylight. Thought that net looked a bit odd!! will investigate that one tomorrow too, look like a lot of "investigation " coming on ! Yep, space saver under boot floor and Jack plus tools in right hand side, don't know if all the tools are all there (another job tomorrow!) but it doesn't look like the spare has been used. Tyres are down to tread indicators on front and are Michelin Primacy.... Michelin Energy savers on back, look new. Any recommendations for tyres? prefer sticky in the wet versions! Might polish up in areas but it needs a good clay job, also there are scuffs on lower front bumper as well as rear arch. Probably do what I can with those and then wait until we get into the summer to do a proper paint job.

Just been trawling through the service book (got nothing else to do as the coupe is outside and its pitch black!) The car has had one owner all its life and did something like 9500 miles each year for the first two years, then it dropped to around 6k a year final settling out at 4k ish... the last two years it has only done about 3k miles per year. There are so many service stamps at the main dealers they had to start a second service book last year ! What I haven't found is any audio booklet, just the basic radio ( B ) info in the handbook.... I thought this was a Bose system, did they not have a separate booklet? Anyone know, please?

Well, here she is ! Resplendent in Amazon Green but a bit dull, few bumps and scuffs.... Straight off the truck just before it went completely dark! Wheels are bad, are these supposed to be Diamond cut? Bolster, as usual Rest of interior looks good Carpet cleaner need here but original mats! Interior not bad, needs bit of wood cleanup 82587 miles Engine looks good, brief look at it for pics before it went dark Boot has this in it ! Just a few bits of paper ! plus THREE keys, two plus the valet key I presume. More tomorrow as I delve into the crevices and cracks, ooh err, missus !

The game is on, atf ordered from Opie, valvoline naturally as per this very forum. Got filters lined up depending on what I find under the bonnet, not relying on service history !

Today, Wednesday, the "new" car arrives, the V6 greenie. 2001, Y reg, 82k, Honda Bassett main dealer full service history, possibly the original supplier as the reg plate showing as such. All service and handbooks plus three keys and apparently some invoicing in the files. When I all this in my hands then I will believe it! It's dark green metallic with ivory interior, supposedly original wheels, need the forum help to confirm, please, plus good tyres....on the rear will see what front are like although they did pass the mot on 18th January 2017. Serviced last July 2016. Paint is scuffed in places but not dented...again we will see, and all tools, spare wheel are intact.. Update once it touches down later.

Its now half way through the afternoon, well almost, taken it off work to see arrival of the mythical beast coupe. .... no idea where it is, transport company not answering phone and seller not replying to texts. Watched pot. Do you think they have cleared off to the Cayman islands with my, err, substantial wedge.....?

Is there a particular section to start a new thread on my car? (hopefully arriving today, EXCITED ! ) I notice that there seems to be several different places on the forum that members have put their projects / pics of their motor.

Thanks for welcome! Ok, done the deal, collect Wednesday this week. Will post pics as soon as i get it and have determined where to start on it! It, apparently, has full Honda main dealer service history but i have been here before so will be scrutinising everything Checking the air and oil filter is easy but things like cabin/ pollen filters give the game away, usually. Gearbox oil / level at the top of the list along with brake pads n disks . Does the dizzy / rotor / leads give much trouble?

Thanks Is there only the two versions then? no LS EX that sort of thing? So just one trim level with additional equipment variations? Interesting that it only puts out 200bhp, more interesting is the near enough that level torque...nothing like a good shove for real world overtaking My S2000 has less torque and more BHP but makes for exciting vtec overtaking at 9k revs! but sadly lacking in the shove dept.... Been doing a bit of reading re the slush box, only four speed? and it looks like the tranny oil change is on the cards, first job, thanks for the info .. Do the cambelts break at a set mileage !!

It's a 2001 model, V6 , 82k with service history, few bodywork issues, scuffs and scrapes....will post more soonest. Here is a another question ! Hi all, Just working on a deal for 2001 Accord Coupe...... Had a lot of Honda stuff over the years, bikes particularly, cars including everything from my first Civic 1500HL a VERY long time back ('80's !) . My first Accord "coupe" was a 1600 2 door 1978 version! Really the hatch saloon I think! Since then had Accord four door Saloons, Estate cars, two Aerodecks (USA built) and currently have a Tourer 2.4 exec, Had a Mk1 Prelude back in the day and a CRX "coupe" (1990 VTEC) also had a Legend coupe for a couple of years (money pit) and the other half has a Jazz , daughter too!! An S2000 still resides in the garage but I have never had an Accord coupe V6, looked in the past but never found anything I liked.... maybe this is the one !! If it comes to pass I will post pics here, I usually use photobucket on forums so I presume this is ok here?
