  1. Son in law !!! Problem comes in when you have a sister in law too !!!
  2. Good clean up today, this weather is atrocious at the moment but a nice sunny interlude, no wind, today allowed a good wash of the exterior and a cursory inside removal of the bits required for daily living in a vehicle !! Lifted the bonnet too, looks OK, bit of a clean and it's good to go.
  3. Just possible if it goes to the SIL as it would be a stop gap for him...maybe six months or so...but the ved is the real killer.........if it was doing a lot of daily miles I could probably justify keeping it at the 400 quid tax.
  4. I would like to do that but not practical under the current situation but I may have a new home for it with the SIL as the Honda Civic semi auto we bought earlier in the year is not really cutting the mustard..Downside is that I will still be looking after it but not driving it for my pleasure.
  5. That's the trouble, as big as the Coupe is and it's been working for its living, on and off , the Elysion is so much more useful with daily life as it is now. I do miss the nimble response of the Coupe though, due to the lighter weight its much easier to chuck it around than the van 🀣🀣🀣🀣
  6. Today was a sad day, Declared Sorn on the Coupe.... It will be up for sale towards the end of February, probably with a new mot although the current one doesn't expire until April. It has to go as it no longer fits in with my life duties and I can't afford to keep it as a total toy 😭 ..other vehicles will need to go too I think although currently Elly has had a reprieve so I will still be "Yo, Vtec" 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣
  7. Surely the inner shaft must be bent then ???......is there a centre shaft bearing on that side ?
  8. How is it going?? Getting any further since the last report ?? Might be selling mine in the new year, or Elly...
  9. Coupe got a good wash yesterday...went out in it this morning.. Needs ANOTHER wash now, the roads are awash with dirt, mud and salt 😭
  10. Yesterday was a great ride out in the Coupe, probably the last one this year, as of the end of the month it will be off the road, safe from the salt fairies 😑 Next job, today, tomorrow, is a full wash and underbody clean, re Bilt Hamber the underside , discon the battery, couple of dry bags inside...
  11. Bit late now as you got your tyres but wondered if anyone had tried the Falken Eurowinter HS02 tyres ??? Mytyres. flogging them at Β£102.49....205/60/16 The 225/40/18 are coming in at Β£125.31
  12. Well, that's it, the Honda e will be officially retired soon, Honda have confirmed....no more orders will be taken and no MK2 is to be launched in Europe, its already a year since they stopped producing it for the Japanese market. I would have a stab at the fact its expensive with a small range didn't help sales of the "e" plus the fact the new Honda SUV electric car is a better option for consumers intent on joining the SUV crowd πŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒ
  13. Good check over today, but too cold to wash so abandoned that idea!! Soft left front tyre...I hope we haven't got yet another slow puncture 😜
  14. Today was check over day for the Coupe, everything in order...as expected 🀣🀣🀣🀣 Then off out to do a bit of shopping...some vtecing was necessary πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜› just luurrvvve the sound !!
  15. Hi Darren, sorry missed the post in here but I saw your post in the faceache group.... May I suggest you test it on a wall or garage door, fence or similar just to check they are in the right place....don't want to get pulled whilst you are away !!!
  16. Very smart πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  17. You need to "reign" that wit in, you will upset Rudolph!! A few years back I came across deer crossing the road on my way home, in the pitch black of the night , the only clue i got was the headlight shining in their eyes....definitely not what you need....I was on my bike 😱😱😱😱😱😱....barely avoided them....bet they were happy too !!
  18. Is that the Florida guys ??? P2R ?? supposed to have some good stuff for Honda.. Be interesting to see the changes in power / delivery.
  19. Look forward to your updates !! Don't forget we need pictures too !!! Here is mine to get you started 😍
  20. Spotted "KUT" the 08 plate black with gold badges seen earlier this year, back in March. Not seen it for a while but it was parked on the road outside a local park....as I whizzed past in the Coupe 🀣🀣
  21. Hello and welcome to H6nda!! Obviously a Honda lover through and through !! What model Elly have you bought ? What made you go for an Elysion having had cars as opposed to a van ?? Interested...or maybe just nosey πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›
  22. Today was multiple oil change day !! Just one oil and filter for the Coupe of course....I know I haven't used it much this year but just 1500 miles 😜😜😜 The Elysion has taken the mileage hit instead.. All fluids good, trans fluid nice and clean. Job done !!
  23. Having had chance to check it would appear there are different calipers but not definitive as it is down to the production date using the vin. RR1 and RR2 are the 2.4 series...both have different calipers out by just one number..45018 S3V A13 is the former and the latter is 45019 S3V A13..so 018 verses 019 at the end of the first number sequence of the part number. RR3 and the four wheel drive RR4 , 3 litre, both have the 45 018. The RR5 and RR6 have the 019 version. I have no idea what the difference is as yet but could just be a mounting point location or as easily a diameter piston size or a clearance of disk issue..etc.. So in your case, an 08 version, could be a 018 from the last version of the facelift model OR the first of the 08 to 13 year models in which case its an 019 caliper. What you need to do is go on amayama.com and look for the model AND check the vin to establish the correct version , then look at the front brake exploded diagram for clarification. I think you should find that your 08 is the last of the facelift with the 3 litre motor as strictly speaking the "08 to 13 " is the 3.5 litre...however changeover models always have anomalies whatever the make !!!!!
  24. I think the 2.4 takes a smaller one but not too sure....have a trawl of the amayama.com site, there are all the varieties of Elysion and trims with part numbers. See if any match between the different engined models... I can't check just now but I will try later too.
  25. Well done !!! I hope you sprayed some rust prevention around whilst you were in there !!! Well deserved rest and defrost tonight πŸ₯³
