Spotted a black one today, the last time I saw one was back in March ....loads more EV on the road generally so anecdotally the point I guess.

Behind the rear screen window ? That doesn't seem like the original version. As far as I am aware the original camera is normally above the number plate area and to the left side. Integrated into the hatch as such. I am not saying it isn't correct but strange to be there behind the glass.. maybe that model didn't use the original location. Can you determine any marking on the camera unit ??

Do you still have the original head unit .?? Is it the camera lense at the back you need ??? Above reg plate area ? There are some Elysion being broken on the bay at moment. I have a sneaking feeling I recall the original stuff runs at about 8 volts...so a current "uk" version won't do in the original position.

When you say replacement, do you mean the original Japanese version or a UK fitted one ??

If you have a friendly mechanic it's worth the try but if it costs you 30 quid you could buy the unit and have a go yourself. 😁😁😁😁

First one would give you connectivity to an obd reader, looks to be right. Second one seems to be saying that it supports US cars from 1996 so maybe right but if its European then 2000 year onwards..... Just a thought, do you have an independent garage nearby, friendly sort ?? If so, check out if they can connect to the three wire, if not, buy the connector cable so they can connect to their machine but ask if they can scan the codes for a few pictures of the Queen !!......they will have a far better machine than the one you are looking at. I paid quite a bit more than twenty quid for my obd reader and it's still not got all the capability the local garages have..they spend thousands on their equipment. You don't actually need an all singing all dancing version as there are limited systems in our sheds !! However, a better machine ensures all things covered. Still, at £21.50 it might be worth the punt just to see if it will do the job and the reviews confirm limited capability but could be just what you need....got to spend 25 quid at amazon though for free shipping on that...unless prime account ?? 🙃🙃

You could try discon the battery, leave a few minutes, touch the positive and negative cables together briefly then reconnect the battery. It may clear the fault if its just a glitch in the system. If not then you need to get the codes off the system for the fault, either with plug in test unit or the blinking light method..need the info for that plus the codes to identify against the number of flashes .

Interesting he mentioned the right hand stalk as indicators and stated its a Japanese thing..... no !!!! , it was the right hand drive thing, true brit cars had them, the only reason we got left stalk indicators was the left hand drive to right hand drive European cars conversions..just lifted the complete column out and put it on the right !!!! It's a real shame that MPV have gone out of fashion, SUV are horrible abomination. Wonder how much it would cost to fix this shuttle, he mentioned 1500 quid market price, presumably for a good one....300 for this plus spend on it equals 1500.......????

More V6 power today, been playing with the "snow" traction control ...bit slippy, not much in the way of standing snow really just a dusting, as I left this morning but a mile up the road and no snow !! I think the snow button just shoves in a higher gear than normal,,,might be integrated with the ALB too as it seems more sensitive with the snow button on. Anyway , an enjoyable morning out in Elly, forecast snow for tomorrow, proper snow apparently !!

Mine is 2001...3.0. , after the March cutoff..... £395 they extract currently...it will be at least , at a guess, £415 come April... they use the RPI figure too, not the CPI. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I suppose in the scheme of things it's still not a huge amount of money...but it does hurt after the insurance cost has been extracted......the council tax is way more than that as is the electric, oil or gas bills.....in fact the water bill is more !!!!
