Site Subscriber’s Kelvin Posted October 1, 2020 Site Subscriber’s Report Share Posted October 1, 2020 I sat looking at her tonight - she drives too well to break BUT the paint is the real issue when it comes to future value. New discs fitted... etc etc etc

Mine packed up over 5 years ago, and I didn't bother fixing it. I just open the windows and sunroof when it's hot. It depends on what sort of use is made of the car to determine how much of an advantage it is. 2
Site Subscriber’s Kelvin Posted October 2, 2020 Site Subscriber’s Report Share Posted October 2, 2020 I'd have loved it working - I've done 30,000 miles in half that time in a black car with black leather. It needed it! So I had a ponder yesterday and as far as I can remember, since I've owned the car, it's had - Wheels refurbed properly. New shocks and springs. New discs and pads, front and rear. Some new brake pipes. Main relay. Four gearbox oil part changes. Numerous engine oil changes. All the other servicing like plugs, pollon filter etc. Everything working as it shoul now apart from the AC which has been 'fixed' and worked for half a day. There are Depo rear lights, clear sides and a different grill... I could go on and on.

Some smartarse walked past and said he thought it was the timing belt so i said no it wasn't. "When was it last changed?" came back the reply. "12th Never, 1987" Using all 23 of his fingers, he counted back and realised it was 31 years ago and then the actual date of "12th Never" struck him and he asked which month that was meant to be. "Never, it doesn't exist and neither does the timing belt" said i. "But it's an overhead cam?" That's right". "It must have a timing belt then!" "Nope, just a timing chain". With those last words his face was a picture!
Administrators hughezee Posted October 4, 2020 Author Administrators Report Share Posted October 4, 2020 Well, the car arrived safely this morning and Kelvin is keen to keep the old girl going with maybe the bodywork getting sorted sometime in the future? Anyway, I'm going to give her a good check over and see what's what in my free time. More updates to follow... 3 1

H&R springs with a 35mm fall and kyb shocks, which are slightly stiffer damped than standard when you go through the specs.

Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted December 24, 2020 Moderators Report Share Posted December 24, 2020 I seem to recall seeing a pair of items in use on another vehicle sometime back now, think it was in the "What's happening @H6HQ" thread, Shuttle/Odyssey if memory serves. That's all i'm saying but should be enough for Stu to recognise what i mean.......................................
