Administrators hughezee Posted June 4, 2017 Author Administrators Report Share Posted June 4, 2017 Nice motor that Pete I've always liked the 5th generation Coupes & Aerodecks Just spotted this, not sure on the rear O.S stance if I'm honest http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-ACCORD-COUPE-3-0i-V6-VTEC-AUTOMATIC-T-REG/322536666631
Moderators PTR200S Posted June 4, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted June 4, 2017 Yeah, saw this too but 162k puts me off, where does 857 quid come from
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted June 4, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted June 4, 2017 Sounds like an "ebay suggested selling price" to me - they average out what similar listings have made and put in a price automatically. In the listing the last bit is "£800". The whole rear end stance puts me off, i wasn't aware Honda made an off-road Coupé?
Red Rocket
Looks nice in red with the body kit. However, the advert admits a problem with the gearbox, so £857 is a bonkers price. Cheers Pete
Administrators hughezee Posted June 4, 2017 Author Administrators Report Share Posted June 4, 2017 This is more like it and only 45K CAT C although very likely just a minor ding, so the wood trim on the centre console more than makes up for it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-ACCORD-COUPE-3-0i-V6-VTEC-AUTOMATIC/272694234174

Moderators PTR200S Posted June 25, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted June 25, 2017 Ok, not a Coupe but a V6 just the same ! Anyone want to add the four door Accord V6 to their collection? Left hooker though (not that kind !) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-R-REG-HONDA-ACCORD-3-0-V6-AUTOMATIC-EX-SEDAN-LEFT-HAND-DRIVE/142355630077?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted June 25, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted June 25, 2017 There's a gold one of those floating around my neck of the woods, there's a photo of it somewhere on here! Wouldn't be surprised if this one had a local (to me) UK registration as well.

Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted June 26, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted June 26, 2017 Round here it might be an advantage though - every other car is a left hooker and most are driving on the wrong side of the road!
Moderators PTR200S Posted June 30, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted June 30, 2017 Crikey, not sure about this advert but I'll have whatever he is on ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1999-Honda-Accord-Coupe-V6-/302366463435?hash=item46667215cb:g:ZVMAAOSwVJhZRR5R
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted June 30, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted June 30, 2017 Torque Steer? What planet is this monkey on?
Administrators hughezee Posted June 30, 2017 Author Administrators Report Share Posted June 30, 2017 Another one from the Facebook page and I did mention to them about the torque steer probably the brakes binding or the tracking is out, mine drove straight as a dart before and after my tweaks
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted June 30, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted June 30, 2017 I'll hazard a guess it's the rear tracking that's out and they've had the front checked/adjusted and don't even know the rear can be adjusted! I know on mine the driveshafts are equal length so torque steer doesn't exist and without checking i'm pretty certain they are on the Accord V6 as well so that eliminates torque steer. I know if i boot either of mine out of a junction, even on full lock it goes where i point it, no questions. Straight line start is the same, goes where it's aimed. People forget that torque is also a function of length of driveshaft, even screwdrivers can demonstrate that! Try undoing a tight screw with a chubby screwdriver and you'll struggle - use a long shaft/handle screwdriver and it will undo a lot easier! Hence torque is measured in Nm or lb/ft

Founding Member PaulS Posted July 15, 2017 Founding Member Report Share Posted July 15, 2017 The exhaust looks like someone has made it into a one piece - the rear boxes have had their bolt on flanges bypassed and pieces welded in.... That is where my original exhaust failed - the flange joints rotted away....
