  1. Finally made the decision regarding the suspension and choose the coilover route. Tein Street advance Z. I thought I might aswell take a chance on some reputable coilovers rather than spending the same amount if not more on aftermarket shocks and springs and not quite being satisfied. Quite chuffed with the quality.
  2. Silver 3.0ltr V6, 144k, going for £4800 https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/v6-honda-coupe-30/1448890763
  3. I have for sale a set of 17" wheels, with 4 good tyres. I need to get rid of them as I have no space to keep them any longer. They do need refurbing but look nice enough when clean. Tyres have plenty of tread left on all 4, X1 Michelin Pilot Sport 3, X3 Sagitar P607, tyres are 225/45/17s. Unfortunately I have no idea what brand the alloys are, as any decals or markings have faded away. They are a rare multi spoke design, PCD size 4x114.3. Good looking set of alloys, rare to find 17" without having a multifit design. I also have a set of new M12x1.5mm slim wheel nuts that fit with these alloys. £400, message if interested. Leicester.
  4. Agree with you on that. Ultimate aim is to get the car reasonably low (fill gap arch) but not to an extent that the tyres are rubbing on the arches.
  5. Thanks. 2nd one was after the drop. But I agree what @Laird_Scooby said about the tyres filling the arch gap. I guess having skinny side wall tyres won't really help even if it was lowered properly.
  6. ... unfortunately not, no difference since fitting springs and changing to 17s. Maybe it's because they are sitting on standard shocks? I am not dead set on the h&r kit, but it is tempting if I can get the rear to sit lower and even/level with the front.
  7. Need some helpful opinions. Want to get rid of the "Stilts" look on the car. I was planning on going the coilover route but the costs are too extreme, don't want to get cheap ones, as what you pay is what you get, in terms of quality. BC racing coilovers are almost £1k and they are budget entry, but they are of reputable quality. So shocks and lowering springs seem more sensible in terms of budget and reasonable comfort ride. Currently on some cheap eBay lowering springs 35mm on stock shocks, running on 215/40/17s, no difference in lowered height. Was thinking of getting Koni sport shocks and Eibach lowering springs 35mm front and 30mm rear. Seems a reasonable setup in terms of ride quality but would this still be riding high for 17s? However I have come across h&r cup sport suspension kit. They have a 60mm drop at front and 40mm drop at rear. This would deffinetly solve the ride heights on both ends however to what extent will I ruin the drive quality? The dampers are adjustable. I am not looking to throw the car around corners and race, just want a reasonable ride quality with a low stance. https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/h-r-sport-suspension-kit-h-r31026-1/
  8. A bit OCD I know, but it pays off in the long run. Hate messing around with the interior, but have an eye for detail 👌😂.
  9. Some minor bulbs replaced within the interior today. Over some time noticed the cruise control button stopped illuminating, sunroof switch backlight started looking dull and the ash tray light bulb had blown. Wanted to get brand new genuine honda replacement bulbs, thinking they will last longer than the usual cheap eBay ones. Price of 1 T3 bulb approx £30 with £10-20 postage charges from USA or Japan 😬😂. Ended up buying some used coupe switches for £8, salvaging the bulbs from them
  10. I will try and give this a go in the new year. It looks simple, just a case of modifying/splicing into few cables. However the JVC's and Kenwood's will prove to be a bit of a faff, as they require specific programming with the AXXESS module. Currently have a Kenwood but might upgrade to a Pioneer DAB/CD single din unit.
  11. Changed my pollen filters few days ago, after getting the car serviced. Didn't take any photos of the old filters, but the waste said it all. Sadly I don't think they were ever changed from new. Filters were original honda OEM, pure black 😬, replaced with Blueprint ones of eBay. Could have done with an air line to clean the housing from the amount of debris collected but a hoover had to do. Sprayed some anti bacterial fragrance inside to eliminate any odours. Definitely an improvement on interior airflow.
  12. 😍 Looks very nice. The nostalgia 👌👍 Twin rear fogs, much better and symmetrical, than having the odd one.
  13. Found this hidden gem on eBay. 69k for a 1990 model, 2.0ltr engine with a manual transmission, £3000. This one doesn't have the aged brown coloured interior, but simple grey/black 😂👍 Clean and consistent history. I have a soft spot for these from my childhood and In my opinion think this is the best accord they made. Bigger luxury variants were made based off the CB7 chassis, Vigor, Ascot and Inspire, for anyone who knows. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185671465223?
  14. Nice 2.0ltr manual on gumtree, 93k going for £1595. Clean MOT history with very little minor advisories. Going too cheap. https://www.gumtree.com/p/honda/1999-honda-accord-couple-93k-miles-fsh-mot-august-2023/1445875374
  15. I think the folks at Honda heard you 😂. Came across this article on motor1.com. If rumours are true from Japan, they might actually bring it back, but as an EV. Still better than nothing, it has been a long time since they have made a coupe available for the European market. The current lineup for UK unfortunately is really boring except for the civic type R, only hatch's and SUV. https://www.motor1.com/news/620311/honda-prelude-successor-ev-2028/
  16. This one is cheap as chips, although it's going to need some work on it. Not to be disrespectful to the car but it's MOT history reads a true reflection on its price and mileage. £650, 175k with motegi wheels, for anyone feeling brave. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202211041368018?atmobcid=soc3
  17. All that work has paid off 👌👍 Spoiler looks great and matches well with the rear quarter. Looks just as good as the original factory ones.
  18. I had also tried this out with my coupe, some time ago. At the time it was a good excuse to fiddle with the cluster as I was changing the backlight bulbs to LED. Fitted them on, was chuffed at the finished look. Next day got in my car and was waiting for some time for the temp needle to move. Obviously it was stuck at quarter level, catching on the inner ring 🤦‍♂️. No space for the needle to move with the addition of the ring. Fuel side had plenty space but the temperature needle sits closely to the edge of the bezel. Also the needle has a square edge finish at the end from the circle, so that didn't help also. Ended up going back to OEM, had to get 2 used clusters just for parts 🤦‍♂️. Got everything back to original OEM and added auto glym vinyl rubber finish to the bezel frame. Bad experience for me.
  19. I think it looks alright from the rear 👍 The clearance gap between the boot lid and spoiler looks smaller compared to the factory one, looks a bit more straighter and aggressive. But would like to see a shot from the side of the car and see how the rear quarter flows with the sides of the spoiler.
  20. Bargain, considering it's mileage and history, not the 2.2vti, but still desirable in black with a manual. £2500 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295287251122?
  21. It must be 5th gen season at the moment. Yet another coupe on eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265951328076?
  22. For me it's the extended lug nuts. Tastefully modified 👌
  23. 2.0ltr coupe on eBay 😬🧐 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155213622876?
  24. Another 5th gen coupe, in maroon 😏😍 £4,295, 115k. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275497696023?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=OyAYDJySSRy&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=f2PbWuDIRKi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
