  1. Another one which I had to post. From Facebook, 2001 V6 in Maidstone. 127k for Β£2000. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/320299310792281/?ref=facebook_story_share Some good backgrounds shots with the coupe πŸ‘πŸ‘Œ
  2. I may be wrong, but I find that there are very few suppliers of parts in the UK for these cars. There is alot of OEM support aswell as aftermarket choices for these cars in the US if you are prepared for shipping costs. These are just some that I use, but I am sure the guys on the forums will suggest more. UK/Europe https://www.akr-performance.com/ https://www.parts-honda.uk/ USA https://www.hondapartsnow.com/ https://www.rockauto.com/
  3. I am quite sure that is the correct OEM number for that sticker. I used parts-honda.uk. Highly unlikely they have listed the wrong one. Not sure about the dimensions, as none of the OEM part listings specify the size. https://www.parts-honda.uk/honda-cars/ACCORD-COUPE/2001/20IES/UPHOLSTERY/EMBLEMS/17S8201/B__4200/5/160
  4. An accurate sized and genuine one (75717-ST0-003ZC) from amayama.com would cost you Β£8.37 + Β£6.10 shipping from Japan, for 1 sticker πŸ˜‚
  5. She definitely looks good πŸ‘ Bodywork looks clean for its age judging by the photos. And has a good spec for a W reg, nice to know you got the front fogs too πŸ˜‚πŸ‘. I'm sure she will look even better after a good wash/detail.
  6. I use postimage, just copy the direct link after uploading and paste the link into the insert image URL.
  7. Congratulations πŸ‘, look forward to seeing some pictures and more info. Looks like you have managed to get a gem of a coupe πŸ‘
  8. Here's is one off eBay, if you are not picky all you have to do is cut out the 'i'. The listing mentions they do custom sizes and colours should you wish to do so πŸ‘. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266321831929?
  9. Coincidentally found this article in The Telegraph this morning. Good to know the UK acknowledges the first gen Accord as one of its rare cars, thought it would be boring compared to today's standards and forgotten into the history books. An interesting read also. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/classic/uk-rarest-cars-1979-honda-accord-s1/

    Hi All

Good to have you back on the forum. Hope all goes well on Sunday πŸ‘
  11. Hahaha, I see what you mean about the pronunciation πŸ˜‚. Miss those side window vents.
  12. Anyone fancy a trip up north, Perth. CG4, manual with only 88k, looks in good condition for its age until you check up it's history. A lot of advisories related to subframe corrosion and boot floor. Maybe it's exaggerated and just on the surface? Don't know if this person is selling his V6 as the add mentions two cars for the price of one. Not much details regarding the V6. But for 1k, sounds too good for two cars, either for fixer uppers or parts hoarding, if anyone has time or interested. https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/honda-accord-coupe-rare/1431779860
  13. ...sounds like a lucky escape !. Good to know you managed to catch the slide and avoid hitting it. Not only do we have to be careful about other drivers but also the condition of the road surfaces πŸ˜‘.
  14. Managed to sort out the headlights on the Honda yesterday whilst the weather was dry. I did some sanding and polishing last weekend by machine but wasn't happy with the overall results and ended up damaging the lenses by creating a lot of fine scratches 😬. Re-did everything, but by hand and now looks somewhat back to new. The Honda also got a nice wash after more than a month of neglect πŸ‘πŸ‘Œ.
  15. I am guessing it has been scrapped, I sold it cheap, so maybe was used for a runabout until it's M.O.T., unless it was written off. Another reason why these cars are so rare or neglected in the wrong hands.
  16. Sorry about that, I have tried re uploading them, hopefully the links should work.
  17. I was going through some old photo's where I found some of my old coupe, so thought I would put them on here as it has been a while since I have posted something on the forum. I purchased the car in 2016 a 2.0ltr manual, with the plan of keeping it as a 2nd car and just seeing where the time and interest would lead to. It wasn't a perfectly kept example as it had 160k on the clock but for the price I paid, overall condition, I didn't think it was too bad at the time. I must have paid under 1k for the car. Mechanically the car drove spot on, couldn't really fault the drive for its mileage, bodywork did have some small areas of lacquer peel but that was on the front bumper, but apart from that no rust. The M.O.T. history wasn't great just neglected things, such as brakes, exhaust, suspension and minor cosmetics, have seen worser. Sadly that same year we also bought a 2003 CL7 Accord Sport saloon, which meant the drive was getting full πŸ₯Ί. I didn't keep the coupe long enough, I would say only a few months. In that time I only cleaned up the interior and got some tints done to the car. My only regret is selling it to the wrong person, as the car didn't last after its M.O.T., most probably scrapped πŸ˜ͺ. Below are the only photos I have of the car looking somewhat presentably clean. The car gave a lasting impression on me before it went. The navy blue colour definitely suits the car along with those illegal tints (rear and quarters fully blacked) and nowadays not a colour that is often seen when they do pop up for sale. Coincidentally my current one is also a 2001 manual so I guess I got lucky or was just destined to have one πŸ˜‚.
  18. That is strange, I guess maybe it is related to the year of the car as I drive the 01? But nevertheless doesn't make sense as I thought the 2.0ltrs in the coupes are the same from 98-01?
  19. The 2.0ltrs so far are ULEZ exempt for now as the emissions fall under euro class 3, but congestion charges still applies.
  20. Just went to see this, as potential parts car or profit car and it's not a minter and cosmetically/mechanically been abused. 😒 But for its price and mileage, I thought it could be helpful or of interest to someone on the forum. Backbox is missing, brakes need some TLC aswell as the air intake as it's running without a filter. Mileage is around 70k, and I would say that's the only good thing about it. Bodywork has minimal dents for it's age but the paintwork looks really bad, poor respray job. Interior is okay few bits missing, just needs a good detail. https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/honda-accord-coupe-2000-manual-1997-cc-2-doors/1462999058
  21. A rare burgundy KA1 sedan on eBay. You don't see any sedans let only the coupes from this generation. Looks mint for condition and mileage. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325725904003?
  22. Hopefully it gets featured on DougDemuro's channel as he is always selling via carsandbids. Nice to know there are still some minters around in the US πŸ‘
  23. Rare signet silver, V6 on gumtree. https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/honda-accord-coupe-2000-semi-auto-2997-cc-2-doors/1459338147
  24. Thank you Ashy. It has helped the look of the overall stance since fitting them, the alloys also blend in better with the appearance compared to before, looked a little ricy. The Koni shocks are still a better route of maintaining that OEM ride quality. I am sure the damper settings can also be adjusted from the top mounts although I have read that with some units they have to be fully disassembled in order to adjust, I may be wrong? The coilovers are fully adjustable, so I do have that freedom of altering the ride height and changing the damper settings. Currently on recommended factory settings.
  25. Thankyou Ashy. Was waiting on some helpful advice πŸ‘. I haven't done it yet, but hopefully if I get time, maybe during this weekend.
