  1. Mine's Lovey and my lady's PT Cruiser is Lumpy. It works for us 🙂 Lots of vehicles lost and people's homes too, it's been pretty brutal all along the Nene Valley and it tributaries. A big storm forecast for tomorrow afternoon also... thankfully, we've food and drink in the boat. All is well.
  2. Thankfully, Lovey was tucked away on Stuart's driveway - Billing Aquadrome was flooded yesterday and were she'd have been parked was part under water. We ended up sleeping in my work van, the Police wouldn't let us near the marina. That's an Audi A3 under water...
  3. It weren't a good dream, some aliens decided humans were too dangerous - they picked a few ravers, me being one of them, and got us to drop the bomb on the planet and we had to decide if we killed ourselves too or thought we were worthy of a second chance. I was driving the coupe to the festival and had to leave it when they zapped us up.
  4. I dreamt about my coupe last night - does that count!?
  5. Lots of boaters used them due to their no quibble warranty but since 2019 they've been a lot tougher on that score. It does vary store to store I believe.
  6. Avocados - they have a terrible footprint, it's shocking but then so do many things. Especially fruit and veg. It's not just a vegan problem however. Until we all start buying as local as we can, at a greater cost to ourselves, non of these initiatives mean anything. Buy British! I may be anti Brexit but we seriously need to promote buying UK made gear. Buying a Bluetooth speaker - buy a minirig! Buy from small independent shops if you really do need to buy foreign. Buy brussels from Bedfordshire rather than avocados!
  7. And I think Pete, that maybe all the led bulbs and really quite power efficient touch screens, electric motors etc etc etc probable save huge amounts compared to the past.

    My Coupe

And for what it's worth - I'm a trained sprayer and have sprayed the odd vehicle before but those honda wheels get so bad, the money saved by DIY versus going to work instead doesn't equate for me.

    My Coupe

Took an old set of alloys in, that Stu had lying around - they blasted them, powder coated them and then I took my car down and they swapped the tyres onto the freshly finished wheels. I let Stu have my old alloys and the job was done. If you want them to last, never let the cheap hand wash places spray them with pre-cleaner, that's the main problem.

I paid 300 quid to get my wheels sorted properly - a good investment for your car I'd have thought.
  12. Well done Pete, sounds like a busy day but a good one.
  13. It's the last hurrah for the grill eh? Designers are making the most of it, as there's no need for them technically on an EV. That BMW is a bit mad but in 20 years time, in an EV world, it'll be looked back on as fondly as the old yank cars are from the 50s etc.
  14. My Vivaro went straight through its MOT with them fitted - if there's a difference, I notice it in the lack of orange light away from the van.
  15. I saw a 14 plate in dark grey yesterday, looked fabulous with huge alloys. Parked up in Oundle by the river.
  16. She passed! Stu is going to do a few more bits and pieces - but I'll post some stuff later 😀
  17. I've ordered some of those too - cheers for the help lads, she'll look much better with chrome bulbs and it's something I've been wanting to do for ages. Now Stuart has been spoiling her, I need to do the same.

  19. Cheers Stu! There was me completely confused - I know what to get now 🙂
  20. Actually might be this one, a large version of the sidelights
  21. Obviously these are the wrong bulbs but the fitment looked similar.
  22. Yep - bought these and went to fit the back ones but mine are some kind of slotted fitment, so used these in the Vivaro instead... I'm confused. I just assumes that like the headlight bulbs, they were an american fitment.
