  1. Correction, most likely says FR for front probably 🙄
  2. Offending article. 12" in length and 4" broad with 2" pipes either side. Hope thats correct? The rear is pretty much entirely loose and just sat in the hole held by rot. I daren't drive it but its only car i have on the road 😖 I doubt there's much worth cleaning up and welding. Also noticed the Honda writing with ER and an arrow ⬅️ But pointed towards the front, i presume it would indicate flow and should be pointing out the back way 🤔 https://www.dropbox.com/s/9s31p0qzz3mmjfm/20210703_122728.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/xpqlo9gjjf11vs9/20210703_124744.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/nmnuf01mxv55rza/20210703_122736.jpg?dl=0
  3. Cheers Dave, what is the difference between a resonator and a silencer then?? Would this be suitable for the vtec? And yeh i know regarding breakers but desperate and lack of obvious options didn't help. If condition was ok a length cut either side attached with a couple of sleeves was my thinking and better than dropping in two at any moment
  4. Thanks for input. Its right on the join with the resonator. As in the bit that's circled red on Chrismas's photo. A combo of pipe and resonator so not looking good for a fix. Messaging a few breakers to see if a section is available for chopping out.
  5. Borrowed a pic from a different section so its in the "what have you done today section" its the resonator section thats gone rotten 😪
  6. This is where mine has let go. The rear join of pipe into resonator ☹ Do other models of the era have this section which can be picked up. Or could it be cut out and straight through? Any other ideas welcome.
  7. Help also needed!! With windows down, mine just started with a burble and stink. Looks to have started letting go at the rear join of that mid section part. I think a few more pot holes and speed bumps its gonna snap off and ruin me. Typical just as summer hols and trips are planned in. Is that part/section available do we know or not?? Thanks 😔
  8. Wonder if rolling the car back over the cable, leaving a wheel on it before plugging in would help stop them running off with cable. Or would it ruin cable?
  9. Good work. The later coupes have a different engine cover then?
  10. If they can do what they want on an e.scooter then yeh why not.
  11. I'd rather have £10k in pocket still and not have the lottery of owning a renogo.
  12. I can see I'm going to have to get back out and look more. Maybe when I've got spares to hand. Might just look at pricing up leads whilst on it too 💥
  13. Yes, i can see the cable tie fix being a bit longer than temporary. Is digging out the the whole dizzy a big job or not? Can't see behind, but from the top exposed screw it doesn't appear to protrude out the back of the bracket 😕
  14. Guess it means I'm gonna end up digging then, pesky screws n bolts. Oh i need to get my daily back on the road so i can dig without pressure.
  15. I thought about taking it off completely to grab protruding remains, but it didn't snap at the head. The length that came out i measured next to the top bolt and was enough to clear cap side and into the bracket so unfortunately its snapped in there or right on were it enters the body. Nothing to grab at ☹ certainly not easy to get a drill at either.
  16. For the moment captain cable tie has managed to get round, under and inbetween which should hold it in place for the time being until i can think of a master plan. I'm guessing they both or at least the lower screw goes into the aluminium block?
  17. So be warned if anyone else thinks about tinkering, dizzy cap is held in by ridiculously thin and brittle screws 😭😭😭
  18. Soooo.. it stopped raining and I found 5mins spare which is rare. I thought I'd pop off the cap and have a nosey. Two 8mm's look easy enough. Went for lower one first, half a turn with little pressure and 'pop' https://www.dropbox.com/s/m2dfvybrgk5wkrm/20210524_192822.jpg?dl=0 Seriously getting miffed with screws snapping off on me. The lower one is obviously a bugger to get too also. Any ideas, photos so i know what I'm tackling or give up and get local garage to bail me out ☹ Left top one alone, got a lot of driving to do tomorrow inc motorway. Worried it may start intermittently firing with it not fixed in place.
  19. I've only welded a barn door frame, but it was better than that for a first go. Looks like the person who did this would have struggled to hit said door with a weld. Must have been apprenticeships mate. What a pain though to go and get monies back.
  20. Wow, that's wrong on many levels. Take it up with dvsa perhaps and tip them off about their standards.
  21. Was a very good spot and investment that exhaust. And you're right, if you don't ask you don't get.
  22. It was thanks, not an awful lot of choice out there eh. There's a couple breaking V6s. Sometimes if you put it on as 'watching' they'll send a reduced offer price the next day. This one didn't, but the guys breaking the black v6 do. There's a wiper mechanism and motor up but its £35 No, just a black lug which is part of the rear moulding that a grey box slides onto. But nothing to obvious to pinch it to release. One from ebay was snapped off. Managed to slide mine of eventually, with a bang though.
  23. Swapped out my bust rear cluster. One from ebay was ok apart from one or some previous owners must have washed it with sand paper as the lens is pretty grazed over compared to my popped one. Might look at options to polish that up. Presume similar approach as headlamps? But whats with that black lug and the grey junction box stuck on it at the rear, what a pig.
  24. Have you guys seen this one? Gold badges and tips! Look at this on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184830648906
