  1. What oil goes in the Elysion steering reservoir? Is it normal red ATF or some funky stuff? What's in mine is impossible to determine, so it needs changing. the level is on minimum but I can't see any leaks around the pump & there's no drips under the car. The PAS works but the pump is noisy when the car has been running locally for 20 minutes, however I can drive 30 miles on the motorway without the noise appearing . I hink it might be best getting the pump changed under warranty though.
  2. On the school run there is my white Elsion, a silver 56 plate, a black 10 plate Stepwagon and a silver Fit all in the same street. People is funny about taking pictures outside a school these days though.
  3. The charger is here, it's a Hunda for a Honda!
  4. Stick-on head unit 'installed' Waiting for a fused multi-charging adapter as I also need to power a dashcam & a wireless charging phone clamp along with the Android screen. It came with a reverse camera but I can still see the original screen well enough, so unlikely to fit the new camera. Also the bluetooth adapter I linked above arrives next week & once it's all installed I do proper cable management.
  5. The ride of the Elysion is superior to the E-class it replaced. But that CVT whine! Reminds me of the Almera Tino I bought in a pinch when my Accord got totalled. But I traded that in for an S-type 2.7 TD Sport, lots of car for not much money. Shame about the reliability though. Might get another one for weekends but I couldn't rely on it as a daily driver. Can't compare fuel mileage at the moment because since getting it I've been stuck at home doing the school run. The tank seemingy only holds 45 litres, the gauge never reads above 3/4 full & is only giving 5.5 KM/L on the trip comuter, which is a shockingly bad 15MPG. May as well have bought the V6, I think. The Elysion ICE hasn't lived up to expectations either but getting something up-to-date & useful into it hasn't been too expensive. Fuel economy should improve once I start commuting in it again & I'm considering an LPG conversion as well.
  6. This might work better... retains use of the steering wheel buttons. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375147347184?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ghdfbjbrrvu&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=nL3DGAf_TYq&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  7. Not before Easter, at the earliest! Rode year-round back in my twenties & thirties. Now I'm a fair-weather-only, 50-something with knackered knees to prove it! Found a solution to the AUX audio port conundrum. Plugs into the back of the DVD/HDD unit in place of a CD changer. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/194352396596?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=UcctXhA6QFC&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=nL3DGAf_TYq&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  8. Oh I know, I was looking at the 3.5L initially. Unfortunately the fuel economy of the V6 isn't feasible for us, even on LPG. The family only has the 1 vehicle & I commute 350 miles a week. Coming from a Diesel E-Class that gave 40-45MPG, the 2.4L at 35 MPG gives roughly the same pence-per mile with petrol typically 9 or 10p cheaper per litre. That said, if finances allowed I would get a V6 & put a custom exhaust on it. I had 2 V6 S-Types that made the right noises, albeit in diesel flavour. Lovely cars but hopelessly unreliable & expensive to repair.
  9. Looking around the old forum posts aboout replacing the media screen, it just looks like too much mither to install a double-DIN unit, even if the frame & cover are available (or not, haven't enquired with amayama although they list both in stock). The pups will no doubt be disappointed to learn the rear TV will never function, but they have tablets already, so no great loss. Technology has moved on so most of the comprehensive ICE system of the Elysion is now obsoloete even in its home country. Also not sure I'll keep this car long enough to justify having a professional conversion done either, as I'm missing a few creature comforts so I'll be swapping it for a Prestige later in the year, so I'm just going to fit an Android carplay screen in front of the Honda screen & connect through my phone. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186124333879?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=-s0jf-o3suc&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=nL3DGAf_TYq&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Can't even find an AUX port in the Elysion system...
  10. Yes, they're import only, I think? There's a theme developing here...
  11. Hey PTR, I'm between bikes at the minute, over the years I've had several CB900 & 750 F2's. Next bike will probably be a Yamaha Raider though.
  12. Hi there, collected my fresh import 2010 2.4 G-aero HDD yesterday, PX'd an E-class estate as I needed something easier to get in & out of but also wanted something that turns heads & isn't a euro-market sheeple carrier. As I've had previously good experiences with Honda bikes & cars, My 99 accord had 160,00 trouble-free miles when it got destroyed by an outreach bus, I'm comfortable with the brand. Also the Elgrand is just ugly - according to the wife, so I agree 1st order of busines is to get an Android head unit installed so I'll pick up in that thread.
