Tein are pretty good TBH and these are a little shorter shown on the other topic: Honda Elysion Suspension Knock looks like they're going to struggle to better the Bilsteins. π€

Only seen two coupes with the satnav one for sale in Jersy and one a few years ago in person and it still worked, same can't be said for many units I've purchased over the years.π

The part number for the rear right caliper on the V6 is: 43018S84A11 and it's completely unique to the 1998-2002 Accord Coupe 3.0 V6 as it doesn't interchange with any other model and that includes the 2.0 coupe.

Nuff said IMO

I am thinking they're likely not going to interact with you over an explosive device, deemed to only be handled by a trained technician.πΆ Still might be worth a shot... π€

I am guessing the U2 labelled airbag wasn't from a coupe and maybe the UK CH7 model either way it is a 2001 made airbag.

This is a picture of a spare I have, it is from a 1998 coupe, I have a UK Accord one I will dig it out and compare it, as that model wasn't recalled.π€¨

The first wave of recalls affected much younger vehicles initially and like I have mentioned before when Takata went bust on 11 April 2018 and all manufacturers started building records I what vehicles were actually affected as they suspect it could be a bigger problem. π My coupe goes in on the 16th June and I will be security marking my current airbag(s) to actually see if anything gets changed as I don't believe all coupes are affected.

Interior fans stopped working on the oddy the other day, checked the obvious e.g power getting to the fan and the fan powered up fine from an external 12v source and this led me to the transistor control. π As you can see in the picture above it was almost identical to the coupe's unit (black) but internal comparison revealed it wasn't the same, obviously a different motor is used in the Accord. π€ͺ Anyway after checking, there was only one replacement option and almost 200 notes delivered with duties and I had recently placed an order from Japan too. π§ So decided to go down the repair route and found a replacement Toshiba transistor for Β£8.99 all in, swapped over components with a splash of solder and the fan is working again.π

Few bits to overhaul my A.C and the lower PAS hoses, new driver's window regulator, as the salvage one getting a bit clicky, but all preventative stuff really.π

Time for a refresh on the rear π only a minor adjustment is required as it's for a newer model.π

Just spent a quarter of the oddys annual maintenance budget on Amayama today... π

Hello members, just planning on having a big sort out of all my accumulated parts e.g. interior & exterior bits and pieces. Including some mechanical parts e.g. calipers, carriers.etc So if you have a missing bit or scratched trim piece or broken badge feel free to reply below as in most cases parts will be free, just cover the cost of postage. I would much rather members benefit from my stash than throw it away or list duplicated parts on eBay.

Agreed, I will speak to current insurers with the oddy next week and see what they can do as even Aviva came back almost 200 notes more WTF.π€

Β£601.89 for the oddy this year, still cheaper than comparison sites Β£750-850 ish and new project odyssey came back at over a grand just changing the registration, something not right there IMO. π§
