Moderators PTR200S Posted March 3 Moderators Report Share Posted March 3 There is a seal issue at the rear of the boot lid either side can be the problem...there is a thread somewhere I think....Will try and find it. Basically, if I recall, the water runs in the channel where the side of the boot sits , towards the hinge end... a build up of crap could be the problem. Edit, have a look here. 1
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted March 3 Moderators Report Share Posted March 3 That's one of the usual causes, the other would be the sunroof drain elbows (Honda call them valves) in the boot area. This was my 827, i'm fairly certain the other Honda models are similar. The sunroof drain downpipe is the glossy black pipe hidden just behind the upside down U shape clip more or less in the centre and feeds in to the "valve" which is matt black. The outleet of the valve is like a set of lips that tend to go hard with age/limescale and restrict the outflow, if the join isn't watertight to the downpipe then it leaks from there as a result.
