  1. I take it that a 5w 501 would be much too high and a little dangerous?
  2. Interesting.....I never knew that. Have to say it does look a bit more sportier and the grey gives the seperation from the black which I like which has also been achieved by my chrome rings. Thanks for that
  3. Totally understand your opinion. I don’t know what the post 2000 dial looks like? Would be interesting to see the difference.
  4. I know exactly what you mean by “Unfinished” but of course we wouldn’t know that unless we have something to compare against....right. I also know from reading the previous comments how you feel about these types of after market mods. Appreciate the 👍🏽 The real decider will be to see what they look like with the cluster lit up.
  5. Got the old chrome rings out finally and thought I’d see what they look like whilst replacing the blown bulbs in the cluster. The rings have some black tacky substance on them still which I need to remove and then polish. It’s a very tight fit and some slight adjustment required on the middle ring. The chrome laquer has slightly cracked whilst adjusting it but hasn’t flaked off which would have been a disaster. I love the look.....thoughts? I’m still undecided if I’ll keep them in and if I do will they stay put.
  6. Funnily enough I ordered the following yesterday: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07V6HS2Z1?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image Only thing is they could take until August to arrive🥴 As always thanks for your advice.
  7. Thanks Stu. The rear of my panel looks different to the rear panel shown in the Manual picture....can you confirm if the 5 bulbs circled in red are “ 37102SA5003 SOCKET ASSY., BULB (14V 3.4W) (NS) (BASE:BLACK) £6.73”? AKA T10 bulbs?
  8. I managed to get the large bulbs holders off by gently twisting with a set of pliers. Looks like 3 out of 4 are a smokey dark colour so suggesting they’re blown. This is going to be an expensive exercise. Another question.....the sunroof switch is divided in to 3 parts.....the middle button and the bottom button is illuminated however the top button which is the close position with a picture of a car coloured in white is not illuminated. Does anyone know if this top button should be illuminated? There are 2 bulbs inside the switch which align with the middle and bottom buttons which suggests that maybe the top button is not illuminated.
  9. I have removed the cluster and am having difficulty twisting open the bulbs on the back panel circled in red. I don’t want to force it just in case I’m doing something wrong. Any suggestions? I take it the 4 white ones across the middle are for the illumination of the dials? The black one on the left has 2 wires that are connected to it which looks like it feeds the 2 bulbs at the top of the cluster(shown below which aren’t working)? Do I need to remove the rear white cover to get to the bulb for the “low fuel” light? Last question, mainly aimed at Stu, is the perplex cover on the front of the dials Glued as well as screwed? I remember my last coupe was both when I replaced the dials but not quite sure if all the Accord CG2s are? Some of the USA models shows them as just screwed.
  10. Guys, the cluster bulbs above my rev counter and part of my speedo intermittently work. Any suggestions what could be causing this?
  11. Wow what an improvement and based on the pictures has a lovely sheen to it now so not completed matt. Try a leather cleaner on the leather inserts in the door to see if that helps? I use Autoglym Leather Cleaner and then followed by a cream/conditioner of some kind like Autoglym Leather Balm, Megauiars Gold class Leather Cream, Gliptone Leather Conditioner etc.
  12. Along with sheer laziness I can live with it and may update it one day or just give it back to Stu when I sell the car.
  13. Look forward to the results on the Nextzett. BTW our Stu gave me a glovebox years ago and I’ve yet to install it as it’s not really visible. Sitting it the car now and have just given the interior a deep clean and looking at the spot on the glove box I can live with it.
  14. Have to say that is very odd. I would do exactly what’s been suggested to in that you need to strip the dash of any after market coating that has bonded to the dash and see if that takes it back to a matt finish. With that said, I had a very tiny dirt spot on my glove compartment which you couldn’t really see unless you were looking for it. However me being me decided I needed to remove it and I tried all kinds from my Arsenal to remove it but it did not budge. What it do do though it make the tiny area shiny so it was almost like under the matt surface it was shiny. I might have removed some of the dye or maybe someone previously had attempted it and now it looks a tad darker or dirty. I have added a picture below and circled it. So what you might find is that someone has used a quite a harsh product and stripped it of its factory finish which I hope isn’t the case. It is very usual that there is a straight line as well. I found that both my coupeS passenger airbag covers were a slightly different sheen when stripped of all the layers of dash cleaners and silicone. I just blend it all in by having a sheen on the top part of the dash and then a slightly more deeper sheen on the lower part of the dash where it meets the AC console. Failing all the above, you could just make the matt half shiny so you have a uniform look although you don’t like the shiny finish. I use Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber care which can be changed to matt, sheen or shiny. Or there’s 303 Aerospace Protectant which is more matt to sheen.
  15. It is very sad. I hope mine goes to a good home if/when I sell before ULEZ
  16. Very impressive mate and Every right to feel chuffed.
  17. Very very nice. Lovely stance! What’s the ride like? I went for Koni Str shocks 30mm drop and H&R Springs and “drove” like a peach but needs looking at now because that was 7 years ago.
  18. Lovely looking coupe mate....you will love owning this understated coupe!
  19. Stunning looking V6 Coupe. The best of your post is that fact it was a tidy up and sell on BUT you’re starting to like it now......such an understated coupe and such a pleasure to drive. Welcome! Ps What Laird_Scooby said
