  1. I just thought I'd share this with you guys. I bought my car without the spare keys and remote fob and finally got round to ordering the fob from EBay the other day. It only cost £30 incl p&p which I thought was brilliant considering Honda want over £150 and then another charge to programme it. I ordered it from The Remote Doctor and he sends the programming instructions with it. To say I was impressed with how easy and quick it was to programme the remote is an understatement! I thought I would just post the instructions just incase anyone needs them in the future. HONDA REMOTE FOB PROGRAMMING THE REMOTE CODES ARE STORED IN ORDER IN THE VEHICLES SECURITY MEMORY. THE SECURITY SYSTEM ACCEPTS UP TO 3 REMOTES, IF YOU REPROGRAMME ANOTHER REMOTE TO THE SYSTEM “NOW A 4th” THE FIRST REMOTE WILL THEN BE DELETED. WHEN YOU ENTER THE PROGRAMME MODE THIS THEN CANCELS ALL REMOTES THAT WERE ORIGINALLY STORED. YOU MUST REPROGRAMME ALL OF THE REMOTES YOU WISH TO USE ONCE YOU ARE IN PROGRAMME MODE. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS WITHIN 4 SECONDS OF THE PREVIOUS STEP TO CORRECTLY PROGRAMME THE REMOTE. 1, TURN IGNITION SWITCH TO THE ON POSITION (II) 2, PRESS THE LOCK OR UNLOCK BUTTON ON ONE OF THE REMOTES. 3, TURN THE IGNITION SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION (0) 4, REPEAT STEPS 1,2,3 TWO MORE TIMES USING THE SAME REMOTE. 5, TURN IGNITION SWITCH TO THE ON POSITION (II) 6, PRESS THE LOCK OR UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE SAME REMOTE. THE DOOR LOCK SYSTEM WILL NOW CYCLE “LOCKS WILL LOCK THEN UNLOCK” 7, WITHIN 10 SECONDS PRESS LOCK OR UNLOCK BUTTON ON EACH REMOTE THAT YOU WISH TO USE ON THE VEHICLE. 8, MAKE SURE THE DOOR LOCK SYSTEM CYCLE EACH TIME AFTER PRESSING THE BUTTON, THIS THEN CONFIRMS THAT THE REMOTE WAS ACCEPTED. 9, TURN THE IGNITION SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION (0) TO EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE. 10, NOW MAKE SURE EACH REMOTE OPERATES THE CENTRAL LOCKING CORRECTLY.
  2. Thanks mate! Yep they are original Honda 17"s with the centre caps removed exposing the nuts. I then ordered new closed top chrome nuts and also a universal black centre cap and stuck black laminate stickers on them with the Honda logo. Sadly all the wheels are scuffed so I need to refurb them again.
  3. Very biased I know BUT I think these lights literally transform the car and adds a more modern look to it. They are actually very cheap too including customs charges from the US. The OEM bulbs won't fit in the Depo lights and you will also have to change the cables over. I replaced the orange indicator bulbs to silver coated ones and again looks like chrome throughout. My first ones lasted me 6 yrs and then condensation started to form inside and I resealed them and sold them on Gumtree and ordered new ones again. Definitely order them.....I promise you won't regret it.
  4. Thanks you very much mate. Sadly the engine doesn't look as clean as that now and is due another clean. I find these engines get very dusty very quickly.
  5. Thank you. What are USDM Red&Red lights? Are they the US style where the indicator parts are red too instead of orange?
  6. As my old dad used to say "if you don't ask son you won't get" .....worth a try though:) Once you have her polished she will sparkle, the bodywork looks very very nice AND what a bargain bucket!!!! That's what I have been saying for years as to how much car we get for the money, you just cannot go wrong!
  7. Thanks mate, I will give it a go again and take some pics. Thanks again
  8. Any chance anyone knows how to change these bulbs? I have tried for soooooooo long but it actually looks as if they're sealed units.
  9. Thanks for the response, I think I might actually give it a go.
  10. Thanks guys!!! Very much appreciated. I had a 3 stage detail earlier this year and they used 3m products. It was a pretty good job and brilliant value for money. I got the impression that my car was one of their first cars. I keep meaning to invest in a polisher but it's finding the time to do it and also dread all the boys knocking on my door trying to convince me to do their cars! Sadly there's no wax on it at the mo and I need to do it again soon. When I do do it I love Poorboys Blackhole Glaze which gives an amazing brilliant deep gloss and the fillers are perfect for those very minor swirls until machine polishing again. I then top with Poorboys Natty Blue Wax which is very good but not fantastic for longevity, I'm coming to the end of the pot so I'll look for something new to try. For those in between wax top ups theres Optimum Car Wax in spray form.......very very impressive! Slightly pricey but brilliant results within 30mins. After a wash I spray Demon Shine Spray on to the wet body and then dry and although not a wax, it leaves a brilliant shine. If I get the time I'll take some pics when I do and then post them in the detailing area. Thanks again guys
  11. Hello everyone. I just wanted to know if anyone experiences the above after washing their car. I have a feeling this only occurs on bootlids with spoilers attached. This also happened on my previous CG2 which also had a spoiler. If anyone has had this issue and have resolved it then please do share your solution. Thank you.
  12. Hello everyone, I thought I'd just post my pics again of my CG2 Enjoy guys and gal!
  13. A very nice clean car.....just sooooo much car for the money! If those exhaust tips are too bling for you would you consider doing a swap for a pair of silver ones?????
