  1. Hahahaha ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ There maybe another topic somewhere on this. I understand that the internal dimensions of this filter allow more consistency with the pressure and flow characteristics, particularly whilst engaging a heavy right foot, as many owners of an S2000 are inclined to do. Iโ€™ve no doubt someone will give a more involved explanation than mine. As for the washing up bowl, I have very cross missus, who falls out with me for three days after I undertake an oil change ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† I clean all of my equipment after every change using liquid brake cleaner (5 litre container based) and save aerosols for actual proper jobs. Ps, my missus likes red, so only red washing up bowls allowed in the house ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
  2. Yeah thatโ€™s a brilliant idea. I have also noticed how easy it would be to change the filter by putting the front wheels on full lock. Not worth it though because of the need to access the sump plug.
  3. Just an oil and filter change for me last Sunday. As the V6 is such a heavy lump compared with the Jazz and Triumph, I had two axle stands and the jack underneath the front for extra peace of mind. That being said, I think any car coming down whilst underneath would render you finished in this world ๐Ÿ˜‚ A few pics, noting the S2000 filter.
  4. To be honest Iโ€™d rather just order the genuine bulbs and get on with my life ๐Ÿ˜‚
  5. Beautiful car. I jumped for a moment when I thought a tree was on top of your bonnet ๐Ÿ˜‚
  6. What a lovely trio of motors. Youโ€™re definitely in the right company here Robert! Welcome ๐Ÿ˜Š
  7. Interesting product this. About 4 years ago I attempted to use a ready to use version in my Triumph Acclaim, switching from Comma G30. The result was terrible. Loss of coolant with small leaks springing up all around the engine lump. I hastily switched back to G30 and normality resumed..... But....... With G30 after a 100+ miles run, the engine smells hot (not a pleasant or reassuring odour) and I have always hated it. After a drunken conversation with Stu a few weeks back (sorry Stu ๐Ÿ˜‚) and mentioning the hot smell, Stu suggested I try the concentrate version of prestone, with deionised water. This I have done and the smell has virtually gone even after a 200 mile motorway journey, no leaks, no coolant loss and I am very happy. Not sure about the 5 years or 150000 miles claim of service life though. What do others think of this?
  8. Oh no, itโ€™s a big job on your own mate, definitely a heavy one ๐Ÿ˜†
  9. After all that effort it would be rude not to ๐Ÿ˜‚ Great work guys! ๐Ÿ‘
  10. Iโ€™m just not doing mine. Will pay someone else when funds allow ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
  11. Hahahaha, I think you should chill out and take a brake ๐Ÿ˜‚
  12. Could you not connect an ammeter in series with the battery and whilst monitoring it, remove fuses to see which circuits are causing the greatest parasitic drain? It might just point you in the right direction. Alternatively, fit a new battery and see if things improve. Batteries can be funny buggers and easy to overlook when experiencing problems.
  13. Thatโ€™s a lovely looking car Lee. Welcome to the forum and feel free to look around and ask any questions ๐Ÿ˜Š
  14. What a lovely looking car! Welcome to the forum. What we donโ€™t know about the V6 coupes isnโ€™t worth knowing. Youโ€™re definitely in the right place. Enjoy ๐Ÿ˜Š
  15. The value is certainly on the increase isnโ€™t it, although used cars all seem disproportionately priced compared with 10 or even 5 years ago. New cars not selling, and dare I say it, Brexit ๐Ÿ˜‚
  16. Honda clips every time. The Honda clips will expand and contract in sympathy with the temperature changes and retain a good seal. Jubilee clips are a bit brutal in my opinion, can become loose and encourage hoses to pop off and I donโ€™t think they look as professional.
  17. What a lovely gesture on the part of Roger. I cannot wait to pay a visit and view the motor ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  18. My my, itโ€™s nice to see Stu getting time to do something for himself. I bet itโ€™s like riding on a magic carpet now ๐Ÿ‘
  19. Just depends how much itโ€™s your pride and joy I guess. I donโ€™t use high octane fuel in my Jazz, but slip an occasional fuel additive in the tank ๐Ÿ˜Š
  20. I agree Kelvin 10W30 is a good allrounder I run it in all my cars.
  21. Welcome to the fold. I very much enjoyed reading your intro. This is the right place for those who love their coupes. There is nothing that canโ€™t be answered here! ๐Ÿ‘Œ
