Welcome to the club, I didn't realise there was so many of us around the Lancashire area I'm not far either in Lancaster.

That is a very nice looking coupe.
-
Welcome to the den of Honda, nice to see yet another coupe.
-
Definitely sounds like the way forward.

I didn't know you could run gps on your phone like that I thought it still used data through cell towers as well, we live and learn, thanks Dave.
-
Get you with all your high tech trickery haha, Yes tbh mate probably not a bad shout. Does that use a lot of data on your phone doing that, data plans seem to be getting more expensive these days.

Brilliant, the only thing missing out of your description is their attire of a striped shirt and a mask.

Yes sounds like the same sort of rubbish I had with the surf, I had to have a thatcham cat 1 on it and had to be fully comp. Insurance on the surf 2.4 diesel £600, insurance on the 2.9 cosworth £200 !
-
Yes mine is working fine I've just noticed quite a few new roads not on it so wouldn't mind an update if it's not to expensive. I've also just come across another one that seems to have a very similar ad to the guy on ebay https://www.satnavishop.co.uk/2018-honda-v3c0-navigation-map-dvd-sat-nav-update-disc-181-p.asp Think I'll have to do a bit more research and see if any of these are genuine. Thanks for the reply.

I have been looking for an update for the sat nav in my cr-v and came across this on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2018-HONDA-MAP-DVD-3-C0-UK-WESTERN-EUROPE-SAT-NAV-DISC-CIVIC-ACCORD-CR-V/123805412955?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Has anyone any idea how to tell if this is genuine or not as I wouldn't want to damage my sat nav.

Do you get insurance loading on this because it's an import? I had a Toyota Hilux Surf years ago and because it was an import the insurance was horrendous, 3 x dearer than the 2.9 Scorpio Cosworth I had before it 😀
-
Are these a grey import then? Really nice looking and a V6!

What are you using to bore this out with Dave, have you got a lathe or access to one or does it not need that amount of accuracy ?

Those digital micrometers look really good. I did my apprenticeship as a miller many many years ago just before everything went to CNC, worked on some pretty interesting stuff over the years.

Digital vernier callipers Dave, A bit easier to read than the ones I use to use as a young apprentice.

I should have just scrapped it in the first place rather than messing about with ebay.
-
Just an update, the car went to a breakers on saturday unfortunately.
-
Haha you would say that though wouldn't you
-
Thanks Stu, Dave, I cant really leave it where it is any longer and I have no way to transport it to anywhere else. The longer I leave it the more it's going to start costing me. My insurance runs out on it end of the month so I'm afraid scrapping it is my only option really.
-
It was already on its second listing Dave. I had a message off 1 guy who wanted me to take pictures of the underside of the car and the subframe. I mean come on it was on ebay starting at £150. If I had somewhere to put it Dave I would keep it but I dont and I have'nt got the money to spend on it either. I really need to just cut my losses on this now and scrap because its just becoming a pain.
-
Looks like it's going to have to be scrapped unfortunately after someone messing me about on ebay. I think I made it pretty clear that the subframe had gone but no, some guy turns up and says "you said it could be welded" which I didn't. So after ending the listing I'm still left with the car.

Nice job Stu, looks tidy.
