  1. Thanks Hughezee, still too picky guy to left this as it is.. So the moulded version you have is a one woodgrain plastic piece just like the window and shifter surrounding ?
  2. Hey Pete, actually i think yours is matching pretty well, can't see any difference. Here is a picture i took of mine, i think the tint difference is pretty much visible and piss me off 😞
  3. Hey folks, was about time to show you my coupe. It's a 2.0L F20B5 5speed manual and have 56500 miles right now. When i bought the car it had the trunk spoiler and 4 eibach pro kit spring which are still on the car but soon should be replaced. So what i did until now is of course the maintenance service, replacing the spoiler trunk for a non spoiler trunk, replaced the radio, the shift knob for a leather one instead the oem rubber one and last but not least installed the oem rear sunshade. I badly wanted this one and was a long story to get it brand new from a Honda dealer from the United States and it was the last one available... The only bad thing is that the sunshade was hitting my headrests so i had to remove them. Not that bad actually because those headrest were taking so much space and blocking a lot of my rear view. Thing is that usdm coupe doesn't have the same rear back seat as edm coupe. The usdm headrests are moulded with the seats and make one unit while the edm aren't and take way more space. I honestly thing the usdm moulded headrests look wayyyy better than the edm. If i can put my hands on some usdm rear seats i'll grab them for sure... I have some future mods to come, lowering and 17" wheels i got already, 2din screen, a prelude short shifter or JTC one with stiffer bushings, replacing all the suspension parts i already got, yes i mean all of them which means all bushings, arms, front and rear knuckles, bearings and so on..so lot of work to come but suspension wise the car will get a clean reset and last but not least only with oem parts. I also plan to change all engines mounts as well at some point too. Some bodywork may happen too at some point but way later, the body got some small tiny blow here and there and i don't want to repaint the car as i want to keep it's original paint even if it's not perfect overall. The only bad news is that my coupe is from '98 so Euro2, so i can use my car until 2025 in the city im' living. After that i'm not allowed anymore to use it and inside any major European cities. Don't know how i'll deal with this since i want to keep the car until then..we'll see.. Ok place to pics,
  4. Just found this picture below on the net. It's a stick-on version and if you see closely you'll notice the radio bezel is slightly more lighter than the darker window surounding. Hughezee, i'm really surprised when you said there is a fully moulded one, i've searched on the net but can't found anything. I have found earlier woodgrain bezel coupe but still they are stick-on. Which Coupe had those fully moulded one ? 98? 99? 00? If you have any picture of that moulded version please feel free to share, i'm so curious to see what it look like. Thanks
  5. The two version you mean are the moulded and stick-on version ? Didn't knew there was a moulded version...do you have any picture of that one ? Actually the first coupe i had was from 99 and it had the woodgrain radio surrounding. Back then didn't notice any mismatch color and i even actually though it was some real wood because it looked so well done and real to me xD. Now that you mention the moulded version i think it was probably one of those my 99 coupe had. I'm going to make some research to see if i can found any picture of the moulded version.
  6. Waiting for your report, thanks Pete. Any other woodgrain console owner feedback ? Hughezee, AhsyV6 or anybody else ? Would be appreciated, thanks.
  7. Hey guys, i noticed that the woodgrain radio console have a different hue and slightly ligher than the woodgrain window and shifter surroudings, those last ones are slightly darker. When there its not direct sunlight it's not very noticable but on there is i can definitively see the hue isn't the same. Notice that windows and shifter woodgrain are thick abs plastic while the radio console is more a flexible sort of plastic. Could the difference in hue may be caused by the difference in materials ? Note that the woodgrain radio console i installed is brand new, so it didn't came with my car from factory. I thought that the hue difference may be perhaps because of a different year batch production ? My window and shifter woodgrain are dirty too, i didn't polish them or whatever. If i make a good polish do you think the color may open up a bit ? Out of curiosity for those who have a woodgrain radio console is yours slightly lighter as well compared to your windows and shifter woodgrain surroundings ?
  8. Just received another part today, still few parts left to order before replacing everything on the car. Unfortunately some of those parts left aren't available at Honda for the moment so there is some delay before i got them. Otherwise i have to swap my spoiler trunk for my spoilerless trunk and installing other goodies i have. Actually i'll make a thread for my car and its progress. And i know..i still need to upload some pictures of her arghh...
  9. Welcome Eric, i indeed think you'll be pleased and imho this community is one of the best place for any 6gen coupe lover ; )
  10. Your mirrors still seems virgin 😆 I do fold mine regulary to enter to my garage, our coupe need indeed a very firm push. Try again while holding the bracket with one hand and with the other make some multiple first slight push and further increase force, i guess it should pop and come in at some point.
  11. What wheels/tires specs are those ? Edit : Tires spec answer was on first page, didn't saw it sorry. Still would like to know what are the wheels specs, thanks.
  12. Honda 6 HQ doesn't seems a good place to mess around with..
  13. Charles or the new owner were able to remove the blows on the pictures above ?
  14. Got the exact same small ding on the swag line of one of my door and another small one on the rear fender swag line. Are those blow in the swag lines are possible to remove totally and make it look as factory again? Were you able to remove your dings Charles?
  15. Ok, on the second to last picture your tank was also fully filled up ? Yes you got the famous boat look our coupe suffer, how do you plan to remedy this ?
  16. Here in Belgium if not from factory drilled/grooved discs are no tolerated by the car control inspection. I must keep the plain discs in front.. if you're satisfied with the EBC, why you want switching back to the black diamond ?
  17. Thank you for posting the pictures, very interesting and i'm surprised still how good 225 look on 7j. Your coupe is so clean btw, hands down... How much drop in cm do you have on the rear ?
  18. I'll soon replace all my brake discs and pads for the CG4 and was thinking of EBC premium plain discs front and rear. One of the reason is that they have that black anti-rust coating and i think it's an nice addition. Also i'm looking for some brake pads that produce the less dust possible. So what are your though on the EBC premium discs, any experience ? Also what brake pads do you recommend for less dust possible ? Since recommendation for brake pads may vary on style and driving condition, i can say that i'm not a spirited driver but more a cruiser and i don't drive in urban city a lot so not that much stop and go. My coupe is more a week-end pleasure.
  19. Definitively can see that !
  20. Your theory seems correct because the USA package i got is worn and look quite old while the Japan package is in mint condition and look recent. So for unknown reason it seems they later added those rubber ring to the rear top mounts for both CG2/CG4. For a peace of mind i'll order another JDM one with the rubber ring on it. As for the calipers, my CG4 is from '98 and have double pistons calipers.
  21. So the CG4 mount you have doesn't have any rubber damping ring at all ? i checked the diagram parts and both CG4 and CG2 share the same rear top mounts reference number. If it's the case i don't understand one would come with a rubber ring and the other not. Now i don't know if it's better that use the one with the rubber ring or not.. Do you have any idea what this rubber ring purpose ?
  22. Except one difference, our coupe have a fully chrome window contour and this combined with dark colors it make a fantastic contrast, luxurious feel and give the car character and sharpness. It also give the sentiment that the car has a nice rake to it because of how the window contour are higher back and dives forward. With brighter colours all those details are way less pronounciated. This is one of the main reason i wanted a dark color. for my coupe.
  23. Just found that : 7.5J on 225/45/17, i think it just look perfect, nice fit and very oem'ish. Still enough rim protection too.
  24. I though about that but the "O" ring is actually well glued and as soon as i can't be sure which mount is the correct one to use i won't peel it off.
