Have you got a company that overhauls starter motors , local to you ??? Spoke to a few local places advertising alternator repair but all sent them to the same guy who's just retired - I'm sure there'll be someone. Site Subscriber’s Kelvin Posted February 8, 2022 Author Site Subscriber’s Report Share Posted February 8, 2022 So I had the alternator rebuilt - at a place called Electro Start Ltd in Daventry, a small unit nestled near the Cummins and Ford factories. The guy was super knowledgeable, hadn't seen this Honda one but reeled off some similar and then had a hunt for a new one. Couldn't locate one, saying the Autodoc one is slightly different but did find one on eBay that he thought "might" be the same but the picture weren't clear. So £100 + parts + vat. All genuine parts from Denso, bearings, regulator, rectifier etc and all bolt in place. I'll take a picture later but it looks fabulous.
