8yearsnow
Hello.Just joined the site.Had my V6 coupe for 8 years now. Just had my 2nd cambelt done at my local main Honda dealer. Was a bargain at £210......Will add pictures soon. It's silver with quad power flow exhausts and only 65,000 miles.Sounds and looks brilliant.

8yearsnow
£210 was for the belt. This car is a minter. Was £5000 8 years ago.Its a daily driver. Not garaged and I can verify it will do 140mph.On the autobahn obviously. It gets thrashed and I love meeting could etc at the traffic lights.

Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted November 5, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted November 5, 2016 Welcome aboard! Eight years and only just found us eh? Better late than never! Clios are great fun, they look at the sort of thing we drive as a "Pipe & slippers" car and get the shock of their lives when it leaves them in a cloud of dust with their ears ringing from that V6 howl!

Administrators hughezee Posted November 6, 2016 Administrators Report Share Posted November 6, 2016 Honda's health check bet they don't pick up on a long over due PCV valve, idle air control valve cleaning and the transmission servicing being required every 24 thousand miles regardless of condition, once you have shifting troubles its likely too late Not forgetting the incompatibility of the current Honda transmission fluid should they recommended it? Also is the ABS fail-safe relay triggered on the rear brakes making the brakes feel a little softer than they should, the list is endless for age related niggles??? Sorry for the rant Tony just getting impatient for some pictures
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted November 6, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted November 6, 2016 You're not sorry at all Stu! Merely pointing out that while dealers are great on new cars, they don't always pick up age-related troubles for the simple reason they don't often see older cars.
8yearsnow
I got the transmission fluid changed as I had never had it done before. Will endeavour to get pics on this weekend but have technology problems. The biggest one being my age.........

8yearsnow
I'm in my 50's which gives the young lads a shock when they here me from god knows how many miles away. All the young kids think my car sounds ace and all the ones my age ask if my exhaust is blowing......Have managed to get an old PIC on my memory stick so perhaps it will be online tomorrow. Its good hear from all of you.You are a friendly lot.I live in between Hull and Beverley if any ones close by. Tony
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted November 7, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted November 7, 2016 I'm not that much younger then lol! These days i prefer the subtle approach, more of a "Q" car if you see my point? Gives the young pups even more of a shock when i blow their doors off with only a whoosh and a deep V6 growl that is subtly muted!
8yearsnow
Yes but if you get a cat back not silenced quad pipe power flow exhaust its not exactly quiet.Wouldn't mind but I said I didn't want it too noisy. On a plus note it only got passed twice round the Nurburgring.By Gtr35 and an M5 taxi.My younger brother promised me he was not going on a lap ! A vx220 turbo couldn't pass him.
