  1. Well I cleaned it ! Probably the 1st time in 5 years.I've had it 13 years now.I would love to share a pic but being PC illiterate I cant attach a pic off my moby.
  2. Well I have matched tyres in the Front and rear.Ditched a good Front tyre to get 2 new matched ones.Think the bloke driving the 3 series on the way to work was a bit upset he couldn't lose me.Should have got a bigger engine and hoped I don't drive my car like I stole it.I love this car as much as the day I picked it up.
  3. I'll condense my thoughts on this subject. The front wheels do the majority of braking. All of the steering and acceleration.Quite a lot off acceleration in my case.
  4. Well if anyone wants to buy a V6 Accord.Best look elsewhere. This one is not for sale.....
  5. This car is brilliant.Just realised I have had it nearly 10 years now.It still puts a smile on my face every time I get in her.My younger brother who has a couple of GTR32 V specs,S200 and a granny GT86 agrees. My mother who is knocking on 80 thinks I'm the only one with a nice car even though my siblings have new euro boxes. Not sure that's classed as a compliment though.Spent about £500 in the last month on my 2nd cambelt and tyres recently..Webuyanycar.con reckon it's worth £145...........Stick 2 noughts on the end for me.Talking to a colleague at work with a golf and his as depreciated £15000 in 6years.I paid 5k 10 years ago and only got a genuine 65k on the clock.Happy days.
  6. Yes Dave I have still got 6mm on the rear.I have being looking at my wear rates over the last 9 years of ownership and once they get to 4mm I will bin them all.I realise some members disagree with this view point but after going round the Nurburnring in anger and only getting passed twice I think I know a bit about accord v6's.Hitting 140 on the way home from work and testing the cruise control at 125 and not crashing in 9 years ownerships I reckon I know how the big Honda works.Perhaps some short term owners with pics with shades on know better.
  7. Yes Welland.Exactly what they wanted to do.Move the old tyres to the front and new ones at the back.
  8. I'll keep an eye on them ditches.I never realised 6mm of rear tread was dangerous.Luckily enough I'm not planning any racing any time soon so hopefully I will keep on the road whilst driving to work and back. I have read all the tyre company's advice and I'm sure the owners of these company's and the shareholders and other "experts" would agree.Unfortunately I'm neither of these so I will make my own mind up.
  9. So when I asked for new front tyres you think I really need new rear tyres !
  10. Went to my local tyre place to get 2 new FRONT tyres and new valves on the back wheels. Was recommended budget ones as I don't do many miles.Had to explain I use all the 200 bhp so I wanted decent driven tyres. Then they started to fit the new tyres to the rear......I then had to point out I wanted new FRONT tyres but was told there experienced tyre fitters always fit new tyres to the back because of under/over steer.Rear end grip,Braking,Handling efficiency and a load of other absolute garbage. Can see why single Woman hate going to garages etc.
  11. Deffo the best car performance, looking, reliable fastest car I've ever owned. It still amazes me when I mash the loud pedal into the footwell. It will be 18 years old next march but looks about 5.Every one asks me if it has a private plate as the plate T1xx xxx are my initials !
  12. Spot on post.I love my V6.When I have to get in a normal car it feels like s**t.17years old but what a car !
  13. Yeah but its also 160,000 quarter mile runs.......lol
  14. Brilliant comment Dave. The council snow ploughed the street and then it froze.Could nt use it for a week.
  15. was snowy this day a few years ago....
  16. It's like a Japanese Rolls Royce. And yes I know it was made in Cincinnati.Think it's strange that my Honda bike was made in Spain and my last Honda bike was made in Brazil.
  17. I'm a bit confused.Got the V6 with 27,000 miles 8 1/2years ago.Last week at 65,000 Honda changed the ATF with 1 litre of DW1(Don't seem like much).I've never had it changed before.Any advice ? Thanks Fella's
  18. It was last week.Will have a check.Thanks for the advice.Surely 40 miles won't hurt it.
  19. Well if anyone wants to have a look at it I'm OK with that.As a bonus I am a machinist within the aerospace industry so if you wanted a one off part making perhaps you ought to get in touch.I can't promise anything though.
  20. Got the oil and filter changed in June at it's mot.Only done 350 miles since.Love my coupe but prefer 2 wheels until the snow and frost make an appearance.
  21. Got mine fixed at the main dealer for £75 fitted.Im too old to be messing about in the foot well but good tips and pics all the same.
  22. Will monitor things with the recent changes.Reckon you lot ought to work for Honda.lol.They have an ethics code and a moral duty of care to there customers before condemning your car. So have Honda put the wrong ATF in the box ?Its a bit late for me to be looking for the receipt just now. Cheers. ? I can insert a smiley now in spite of being close to my dotage.Still can't suss out your cars though.? One last question. Can I put a video on here ? Thank-you.
  23. Up north in between Hull and Beverley. Will hopefully see you all in a meet soon.Cant see any planned meetings but as I said I'm just trying to get used to the site.
  24. Just trying to get used to navigating this brilliant site.Where do you all live roughly and how do I look at pics of your cars ? . Thank-you Tony
  25. Thank-you for the compliments. After 8 years it still puts a smile on my face.Saw a branny in 2000 and thought that's a nice looking car. Will get some more pics on this weekend. Cheers.
