  1. Another lovely day. You're right Stu, looks very tricky to replace. Undid the screws and unclipped the door card and carefully pulled back the protective covering and tested the other spare actuator which works well seeing the small black round unit turn when I used the remote fob. Sprayed the two grey connectors didn't do the trick to the original unit. Looks like a job to do in the near future.
  2. Cheers Stu, . I'll have a look tomorrow. I do have a spare one.
  3. Pmsl   and then we'll have Stu too to nod to with double the thumbs up with no hands on the steering wheel lol.
  4. If I ever see you in my rear view mirror I will pull over and let you pass with a gentleman's nod lol and of course with a thumbs up too.
  5. I remember Stu, the prep was good and like the way its looking now. Spot on
  6. I have a passenger door that doesn't unlock when the remote button is pressed to open, neither does it lock when it is unlocked using the remote to lock, same happens when using the key in the drivers door. But it does unlock from inside and when using the key on the passenger door. Is the lock actuator that needs replacing or is there something else that's at fault?
  7. The same coolant for the Accord V6 would you recommend Prestone for my wife's HR-V Stu?
  8. I'm keeping mine for a very, very long time. Definitely for keeps until the missus buries me in the back garden lol
  9. Great website, been using them for years on my old classics I used to have. Highly recommended.
  10. I ve always used Dinitrol, they come in kits too depending on the size of your car, you pay a little bit more. But well worth the money.
  11. Oh yes, especially going around those corners.
  12. I reckon Dave will have leopard skin seat covers to match the horn in his lovely rover pmsl. Including fluffy dice too lol
  13. Will do Geoff, I keep forgetting lol. I start to take photos and then half way through the job I forget to take more photos lol.
  14. I replaced the whole speaker system with pioneer ones and took out the cable that Ashyv6 used to have in the car. Its a whole lot better than what it used to be.
  15. Cheers Geoff . Apart from sorting the transmission, it will be a start on the bodywork. Wax-iol, polishing, renovating it back to showroom condition. Yesterday I took out the front drivers headlight and gently pushed out the small dent that was on the wing (about the size of a small conker) near the headlight, just got to fill it in with filler and re-spray. I also sorted out the leaking drivers brake caliper too, all I needed was a couple of washers from the Honda dealer, £3.12 each. It's moving along now with leaps and bounds.
  16. Finally replaced my faulty one yesterday, what a difference . Didn't take me long and whilst the bumper was off gave the body parts a clean and wax-oil too.
  17. The silver wasn't to my taste, took it out and replaced the dash. Also replaced any blown lights and made sure I re-installed the correct mileage digital meter too. Looks nice and original now.
  18. I did mine last year and really easy to do, I did exactly what stu done, just take your time and don't rush it.
  19. I keep a spare in my 'spares kit' in the boot of the car.
  20. Well chuffed for you . So happy you have a coupe again .
  21. Ooops forgot to post, I covered 120 miles today to check brake fluid level.
  22. Update on the coupe, gave the car a good spirited run this morning and tonight and the fluid is still up to the max with some safe hard braking from a respectable speed . I did notice what looks like 'hair line marks' on front and rear discs and pads seem a little lower than what they was when I fitted them last July. Only covered 2000 miles since then. Thinking of upgrading the pads and discs or getting original honda parts, any suggestions?
  23. Your memory is better than mine lol, I'll get the calipers checked. I did look briefly tonight in the rain and nothing seems to be leaking. Renault is in my garage getting new rear hub grrrrr lol
