Moderators PTR200S Posted November 6, 2020 Moderators Report Share Posted November 6, 2020 Revealed, new version for 2021, 2 litre, hybrid, or 2.4 from the Japanese Market. It also has one of the seats that extends out to help less mobile people, the Elysion has one of these as an option but this looks to be standard. Have to say the front is UGLY !!!!! Designer needs a good slap 😜 https://www.autodeal.com.ph/articles/car-news-philippines/heres-look-refreshed-2021-honda-odyssey-jdm  The USA version 2021 looks much better.  https://automobiles.honda.com/odyssey

Administrators hughezee Posted November 6, 2020 Administrators Report Share Posted November 6, 2020 Na the USA odyssey looks like a Civic on steroids 🤣 and on the subject of grills the designers a Toyota & Lexus need shooting then and the new BMW models are much worse. So I think Honda Japan did it well given current trends, sorry Pete 😋  1

Founding Member Retro Rich Posted November 10, 2020 Founding Member Report Share Posted November 10, 2020 Urghhh No! I don’t like any of them. I did wonder if my age suggests my deviance toward older vehicles, but  NO! The older ones look better and frankly are built better too 😂 1
Site Subscriber’s Kelvin Posted November 10, 2020 Site Subscriber’s Report Share Posted November 10, 2020 It's the last hurrah for the grill eh? Designers are making the most of it, as there's no need for them technically on an EV. That BMW is a bit mad but in 20 years time, in an EV world, it'll be looked back on as fondly as the old yank cars are from the 50s etc.

You'd be surprised - the batteries, inverter and motor all need cooling so while there's no need for a traditional radiator grille as we know it, there is still the need for airflow over the heat exchangers used to cool these components. https://www.dober.com/electric-vehicle-cooling-systems#future_of_ev_battery_cooling That covers the basics, obviously each EV is different but the need to cool the various components remains. So at the very least a small grill, maybe ??
