Site Subscriber’s ROGER B Posted February 10, 2019 Site Subscriber’s Report Share Posted February 10, 2019 Few pictures of my Mk1 Legend Coupe, hope you like, I estimate is around 15 survivors, The Mk 1 was produced by Honda between 1987 and 1990. For its time it was quite innovative. The 2.7 engine gave a 0 to 60 time of around 7 seconds. Although produced with manual or auto boxes very few manual cars were imported into the UK ( around 30 ). No more than 2 survive. The final picture is a JDM/USA spec which shows the air bag and trim of the last production year. Features were climate and cruise control, retracting front seat belts, sunroof, drivers all electric memory seat, Leather seats, remote access ( yes 30 years ago ). Competent sound system for the day, electric Ariel, sports mode on the auto box cars and inboard electric mirror adjustment. The Coupe was very popular amongst company drivers. However the 2 door access made it less attractive for family use. Around town gives 18 mpg and 28 on a long run. Rising fuel costs saw many scrapped in the early years after the Millennium.

Site Subscriber’s ROGER B Posted March 7, 2019 Author Site Subscriber’s Report Share Posted March 7, 2019 Yes I will try and get you a wrist band and car park exit pass ( unless you come down by train ). Will not know what is available until the 21st March. The latest weather is making detailing a problem. There are 3 days any idea which would be the best for you. Friday is trade day so generally quieter than either the Saturday or the Sunday. Will definitely be there for all 3 days. Hopefully will get some more good pictures at the show. The red show car had all of its rear braking system renovated to eliminate the squeaks. Guess what, the front is now squeaking grr. Here it is at the October 2018 Malvern Festival of Transport. It rained all bloody day.

But last taxed 2002 and no MOT history. Probably means its been scrapped in the days before SORN and regulated vehicle scrappage. What a pity. Honda did more than one silver and this looks like the soft silver. 2
Founding Member AhsyV6 Posted March 8, 2019 Founding Member Report Share Posted March 8, 2019 You’d be right in that it was last taxed in 2002. My Legend was taken from me prematurely as it was tragically petrol bombed 2002. By the time I was woken up the fire brigade had put the fire out. With regards to the Silver....I had the same silver as yours. It’s just my picture is a slr picture and then a photo of it taken on a phone. There is a champagne gold one which looks a shade darker than the silver which my friend has. I’ve posted some pics of his Coupe. I remember when I was looking for one back in 1997 we found a gun metal grey which was stunning but it was a Japanese import.
