  1. Small rust bubbles hiding all of the rust shown above, replaced with new metal -rear offside wheel arch.
  2. Hi Stuart am in the market for the crankshaft position sensors for the Legend 4 door. Also do you have a source of quality fuel pump relays for the Mk1 - not the ebay items from the far east.
  3. Its still on DVLA TAX ENQURIES. But last taxed 2002 and no MOT history. Probably means its been scrapped in the days before SORN and regulated vehicle scrappage. What a pity. Honda did more than one silver and this looks like the soft silver.
  4. Yes I will try and get you a wrist band and car park exit pass ( unless you come down by train ). Will not know what is available until the 21st March. The latest weather is making detailing a problem. There are 3 days any idea which would be the best for you. Friday is trade day so generally quieter than either the Saturday or the Sunday. Will definitely be there for all 3 days. Hopefully will get some more good pictures at the show. The red show car had all of its rear braking system renovated to eliminate the squeaks. Guess what, the front is now squeaking grr. Here it is at the October 2018 Malvern Festival of Transport. It rained all bloody day.
  5. Hopefully it will be at the Restoration Car Show at the end of the month on the WEST MIDLAND ALLSORTS stand.
  6. Few pictures of my Mk1 Legend Coupe, hope you like, I estimate is around 15 survivors, The Mk 1 was produced by Honda between 1987 and 1990. For its time it was quite innovative. The 2.7 engine gave a 0 to 60 time of around 7 seconds. Although produced with manual or auto boxes very few manual cars were imported into the UK ( around 30 ). No more than 2 survive. The final picture is a JDM/USA spec which shows the air bag and trim of the last production year. Features were climate and cruise control, retracting front seat belts, sunroof, drivers all electric memory seat, Leather seats, remote access ( yes 30 years ago ). Competent sound system for the day, electric Ariel, sports mode on the auto box cars and inboard electric mirror adjustment. The Coupe was very popular amongst company drivers. However the 2 door access made it less attractive for family use. Around town gives 18 mpg and 28 on a long run. Rising fuel costs saw many scrapped in the early years after the Millennium.
  7. Will look for other pictures. Car is currently under covered until Easter. Have an inside picture or two somewhere. Above is one of the original PistonHeads pictures.
  8. I bought this off Piston Heads in 2009 for the sum of £595. Apart from the ALB light and a small patch of rust on the lower nearside wheel arch was in good condition. There was a mechanic who is no longer with us who sorted the ALB. Car is very comfortable and easy to drive. It has a different suspension ( All round independent wishbone against Rovers Macpherson Strut rear ) . It came with central locking using a remote, folding heated mirrors, Autobox Sports mode, climate control, cruise control sunroof, ALB ( Honda did not adopt the term ABS until later ). USA also had driver/passenger ( optional for passenger ) airbags from 1988 model onwards., JDM had electric folding mirrors and Traction control as a option ). They fitted front seat belts which retracted when you opened the door and came forward when the door closed. All that in 1987. USA and JDM had different trim levels. Basic models had no ALB. There were also manual gearbox options. Only a few imported into UK. As far as I am aware none survive. The one amazing bit is the air intake filter box. The upper part is powder coated cast aluminium !! Very different to the plastic box of the Mk2's.
  9. Pictures of my Honda Legend Mk1a. standard car with the 2.5 V6 Engine apart from the wheel trims, produced by Rover Cars at their Cowley Plant for only one production year 1987. Around 4,000 produced, sold in North America as the Acura Legend.
  10. Mk1B, made by Honda between 1987/1990. Uprated and improved 2.7 V6 engine. Very few left. In sports mode had a good performance all round. Am the third owner.
  11. This came up on my Timeline. Anyone know the history ?.
  12. sorry Stuart, I meant es. go to how many left and search accord 2.0es, that shows 2.0 coupes. Too much Christmas fare and tonic water dulls the memory.
  13. Around 1175 v6. 2533 2.0se manual and 1947 2.0e auto.
  14. The figures for the first 9 months are now available. Between Jan and Sept 2018 the number of taxed 3.0 v6 cars dropped by 20 to 293. Sorn numbers remained the same at 129. The loss rate is lower than 2017 and reflects a slowing down of the number of lost vehicles. We will not get the full year figures till around Easter 2019. Will do a full analysis then. The 2.0 manual and auto show similar rates of decline.
  15. Well if it is, I should notify the insurers. Also am led to believe it can mess up the vehicle speed recording data. Within some remapping's ( again so I am led to believe ) certain fault codes are removed from the ECU and warning lights switched off. EU is supposed to be making it harder/illegal for it to be carried out.
