Administrators hughezee Posted July 10, 2016 Administrators Report Share Posted July 10, 2016 Thought I would share a few shots of my DIY grill, I have fitted plenty of after market grills on numerous cars not just the coupe and not one ever fits right well unless it's a modified OEM of some type or variation from a sportier model? This is where the cooker hob and old knife came in handy, be warned adult supervision is advised, although I was supervised, Nikki was making sure I didn't use a decent knife So that's my current progress on a grill that will fit perfectly, no filler or glue ether any questions feel free to ask
Founding Member Mazda Man Posted July 10, 2016 Founding Member Report Share Posted July 10, 2016 Looks and will fit perfectly too. Satin black i presume? Will you be fitting a nice wire mesh to it too?

Cheers Dave Plenty of practise on ABS plastics although the majority of plastics need channelled joins so they adhere properly, so it flex's without fracturing
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted July 17, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted July 17, 2016 That's very true - ABS tends to be inherently strong so is easier to rework without special joins although out of all the plastics, styrenes tend to take adhesive best as well as reworking.
Administrators hughezee Posted March 25, 2017 Author Administrators Report Share Posted March 25, 2017 All wet sanded, cut, polished just getting the feel for it, it still needs the mesh but not sure if I like it or not?
