Great to see another V6 Coupe in Wales. I've owned mine for nearly 5 years and still love it. Ive been building a new garage/workshop for my car over the past few months, just the rendering, guttering and drains to finish. But it's going to be a lovely stable for the Honda, and give me a nice space to work on it. It's covered in sawdust in this image, but it's been washed and polished since. It's a 1999 model with 47K on the clock, and runs perfectly. The only thing that doesn't work at the moment is the dashboard bulb indication for the 'cruise control', which I'll replace as soon as. https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B17532ODWJ6hJXh

I know that this is an old post, but just to give an alternative remedy if the above suggestions didn't fix the warning lamp fault. I had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago. (Handbrake and Brake Lamp Illuminated). I removed the panel covering the nearside rear light cluster. Below the light fitting there is a brake lamp sensor, which was quite wet. I'd jet washed the car a few days before and probably got a little over zealous with the Kercher, and water seeped through the boot seal. Anyway, I removed the sensor (One bolt and disconnect the four pin plug). I removed the PCB from it's case (carefully), and found it to be really dirty. I cleaned the solder tracks and areas around the pins with some alcohol, applied with a cotton bud. Popped the board back into the case and refitted. This sorted the problem out and it hasn't recurred. Hope it helps.

My 3.0L V6 has the Gold Badges, and they look great. My new replacement window regulator and motor eventually turned up from the other side of the pond. I was faithfully promised a 4 Pin motor to enable the 'Auto Open/Close' function, so I was a tad grumpy when I opened the box to find a 2 pin plug and cables fitted. Never to be put off by such things I decided to swap the motors over. (I tell you now this isn't a job for the faint hearted). Recoiling the spring and getting it to relocate, took a fair amount of messing around. I photographed the mechanism first, measured the outside diameter of the tensioned spring, and with a fair bit of jiggling and sweating managed to get everything back together again. I used a three sets 'Mole Grips', clamped one in a vice and managed recoil the spring and clamp it with the other pair of grips, and very carefully latch it into place. If I have to do this job again I think I'll just forsake the auto window switch. It was a Royal pain in the arse to be quite honest. Anyway it's all done now, but this job could have so easily been avoided. The regulator was damaged by a stray strip of plastic, which someone at sometime, had left inside the door. It had wrapped itself around the teeth on the regulator, and caused it to bind, and eventually chipped a couple of teeth on the gearing. In all the job took me about 3 hours. So I saved myself a fair bit of cash doing it myself, so I'm chuffed. Here's a picture of old and new regulator on top of each other, and the mess, when the regulator sprung apart when I unbolted the old motor. My heart sunk a little bit.

I'm not sure what size the centre caps are Kelvin. The previous owner had already bought them and he gave them to me with the car. He was about to get the wheels refurbed himself, but decided to sell the car as it was. I paid £300 for the wheel refurb. I suppose I could have spent a couple of weekends sanding, filling, painting and applying lacquer, but at the end of the day I don't think I could have got a finish like this. The company did a great job, especially as they were pretty badly pitted.

I ordered a bottle of the 3M quick polish. Got to agree it's really fast and easy to use.

Sent them an email before I ordered mate, and he assured me that the regulator had a four pin plug and two extra wires for the window control, so it looks like it should be fine.

Managed to find a supplier in the US for a new drivers window regulator, (4 Pin Plug variety), so that's on order and should be with me by the end of the month. Just hope it's the correct regulator.

Hi Hughezee, do you still have window regulators in stock? My driver's side regulator has just gone on the wonk...

Finally had my allows refurb this week by a local business. Dropped the car off Wednesday morning and picked her up on Friday. I stayed with the Japan Silver, fitted a set of new hub caps and the wheels look great. Photos to follow. This weekend I took my wiper arms off, sanded them down, primed and repainted them as they were looking a bit on the tatty side. When I refitted them, I realised that someone had previously mixed up the right and left hand sides. I wondered why my drivers side wiper was overlapping the passenger side blade. Besides the alloys the wiper arms were the tattiest part of the car. Sorted now, and looking sharp. Photos to follow.

So that's my steering fluid replaced then. I used the large syringe method and changed it out over four days.

Love those new calipers Stu. While you're on the subject of brakes, what mileage would you recommend changing brake fluids, (and power steering fluid)?

I feel better knowing I’m not the only one suffering from this syndrome, but I don’t think it will persuade my wife that I’m not suffering from some sort of middle age crisis. 🤩

The car’s been running really well with a noticeable difference in gear changing especially after the second drain and refill. The box seems to change faster and more often but still very smoothly. One thing I have noticed looking at the photos I took, it appears I have a couple of small cracks in the sump emminating from the plug area. Not overly concerned but it’s a possible TIG/MIG welding job in the near future. I’m on holiday in Spain at the moment and to be quite honest I can’t wait to get home and get behind the wheel. I’m missing my car. I can honestly say this has never felt like this about a car before. I’ve got some sort of Honda V6 love sickness. The misses is very concerned about me. 🥰

Busy day today. I carried out the second transmission drain and fill at 375 miles from the first, (See photo below to check out my triple tunnel stack method of getting new oil into the box Changed the engine oil and filter, and gave 'Nobby' a good shampoo and polish. Then I washed and polished the wifes Fiesta (It won't get done if I leave it up to her). Changed the air filter for her and replaced the 'Chip oil and tea strainer' on her engine. Oh! and I fitted a Fumuto drain valve. - Lovely! - See Photo. Have a good week everyone. I shall sleep well tonight.

Thank you for that PTR200S, I want to do an oil change this weekend and would didn't want to put it off. I couldn't find any info on Japan Parts, but the info on Opie Oils clearly states that the filters I have bought will fit any Honda except the NSX, Insight and Diesel engines. I'm looking forward to getting oily Sunday morning, and then fitting my Fumoto Valve. Have a great weekend everyone.

I got the filters I ordered today from H-Tune with the part numbers are H1540-PFB-525. I checked the list of compatable vehicles and the 3.0L V6 'J' Series engine isn't on their list. Are the filters I ordered the correct ones? They look very small filters for such a large engine.

Bit more help please gents. I'm having trouble sourcing a UK supplier of the recommended YOYO ROKI Oil Filter (15400PCX004), which Hughezee quoted in the opening post. Will I have to import this from the USA?

I would do it myself, but it's time. I'm short of it on the weekends and I want the job done quickly to be quite honest. Your's look cracking though, you did a great job on them.

I got a quote on the wheel refurb yesterday from a local company. £300 which doesn't include the diamond cutting finishing.
