  1. Cluster Repairs are now closed for refurbishment until June 24th so I am trying Cartronix in Hampshire. Further luck requested..
  2. A brief update on this situation. My instrument cluster has continued to be an issue. Sometimes fine but on other occasions not. What I have learnt, It not only looks like a computer mother board it is ! Thanks Pete it does have to "boot up". When it is working, everything works, so a power supply issue was suspected. Blow it I decided to go with the five star service, at one hell of a price (North of £200), offered by Autotronics of Leicester. All was going smoothly until I tried to pay in full. No such facility was available unless I signed up to Klarna ! Never heard of it ! And not b****y likely. For those of you like me who have never heard of Klarna. Klarna is a Swedish bank that offers credit to shoppers. The reviews are not entirely favourable. But I was paying in full. No you can't without signing up with Klarna ! What a sad deal Autotronics must have done. Giving up between 2.5% to 5.6% of their gross turnover. So I will now try my luck with Cluster Repairs.......
  3. Welcome to the Forum Jonathan ! What a beauty you have found yourself and at a cracking price !
  4. You most certainly do ! So would I be right in thinking that age by Vin No. is the only way to gauge reliability ?
  5. Amazing, you actually know this car then ?
  6. PTR that was a walk down memory lane ! Very nice example identical to mine. Remembering your brush with the blonde BMW driver must have been one of my first postings ? How many miles has it done now ?
  7. Agreed you can't argue with an open market. Have to keep an eye on it.
  8. Wow ! only 30 miles away, could you be persuaded to appraise it ?
  9. Woops ! Harry we did get some crossed wires there, sorry.
  10. What do I know, I just thought this one was a bit optimistic for 25ish year old, especially a 2.0L. I bought my 3.0 litre for £2500 from a dealership 13 years ago, It had 40k on the clock. Don't know much about yours (apart from underneath pics !) so can't really comment.
  11. Todmorden is in West Yorkshire. Sadly way off my patch, about 6 hours ! Original link is useful thank you.
  12. I wondered on similar lines. The same photos suggested to me that is was the original seller trying again. So your suggestion that whoever bought it was unimpressed when he did take it round the block, fits perfectly.
  13. How strange. Deal fell through ? It looks gorgeous. I just wish I could run it round the block and have a look underneath.....
  14. Never driven one. Is the two litre very disappointing when compared with the V6 ?
  15. Sounds like some good detective work going on ! Might this just be one of the last imported ?
  16. This looks lovely and I might be tempted if it wasn't so far away. But it asks the same old question how old is it really ? Example my W plated green car by Vin No is slightly older than the silver T plated one I had previously.
  17. Great pictures doesn't look very muddy to me..... I doubt you live in the sticks. How can you bear to sell it ? Or do you have a new love ?
  18. It looks the part but how can you tell what its really like under the skin ? Where I come from a test drive and a good looksee underneath is an essential part of any potential purchase. Twenty five years is a long time
  19. Woops I see you are already discussing it !
  20. Does anyone recognise S956 CUG Purple Accord Coupe 3.0 V6 or know anything about this beauty for sale in eBay ?
  21. Do you know if any of these functions are connected in any way to a multiplex unit ? I am aware of it's presence (or there might be two of them) but have no idea what it does.
  22. Thanks Waddy just read your earlier posting. All sounds very much the same only mine was fine for a good six months between failures and my battery was fully charged. Also the first brief failure was during the summer so I am not sure how moisture and temperature actually contribute ? While I as was researching I caught up with an American YouTuber who claimed his Coupe gauges started working again when his son thumped the top of the dash ! Didn't work for me however. I am beginning to think that we might never know.....
  23. Thanks Guys it was about 24 hours later. I was all set with a Tom Tom to provide speed readings, and a full tank of fuel to make me feel better. Aren't intermittent faults just the worse ?
