Administrators hughezee Posted May 18, 2020 Administrators Report Share Posted May 18, 2020 Just checked in with the garage the tyres are in stock ready for 1.30pm Wednesday. Since they offered a free alignment check thought I would get the track rod ends fitted, would be rude not too... Previous poor repair, not even sealed from the elements and very loose, glad I decided to replace them as it wouldn't have lasted much longer.🙄 I have kept one of the old ones to see if I can match it with another cars track rod hopefully find an aftermarket source that would be useful for other RA6-RA9 owners, any questions just ask 👍 1
Moderators PTR200S Posted May 18, 2020 Moderators Report Share Posted May 18, 2020 Nice job, and the proper Honda stuff too 🙂 Good thinking though on the freebie alignment check !! BUT will they charge to actually adjust it ...???? Get them to check figures, get out of adjustment figure , fix yourself !! Your van is going to be like a new one by the time you are finished !! 1

Happy to pay them to adjust if needed, hence why I decided to replace them, already told them I will replace them first, they sounded shocked 😆 as its a different garage, my local ATS is not open 😞 opted for the FREE brake check too just for fun. 😋 I was hoping to get the upper arm dust covers done at the same time but my ball joint grease hasn't arrived, amongst other things 😑 1
Moderators Laird_Scooby Posted May 20, 2020 Moderators Report Share Posted May 20, 2020 Surprised you haven't got your own tracking kit Stu? Most places seem to charge about £35-40 to adjust the tracking, do that twice and it pays for : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TrackAce-Laser-Toe-Gauge-Best-Price-On-Ebay-With-Blow-Moulded-Case-RD2201BM/231601872125 With a fleet the size of yours it would make sense plus you could then add another service to your list of options for customers!
Administrators hughezee Posted May 20, 2020 Author Administrators Report Share Posted May 20, 2020 Thanks, Dave I have kit similar to that, I did it by eye and turns out its spot on after the inspection anyway, so no charge. 😃 2
