BN Coupe
I probably need to replace my front number plate (before the next MOT?), thanks to a reversing Transit van's towbar investigating the front end of my car. (Okay, I was a bit close behind him and he said he couldn't see me in his mirrors.) Do I have to remove the plate holder and fit the plate to that first? It's a bit bent now. Just discovered an online plate maker that allows you to include a neat little Honda logo, so I'll probably splash out the extra £2.
Administrators hughezee Posted February 12, 2016 Administrators Report Share Posted February 12, 2016 Hi Andrew if your holder is original then no, if there are no visible capped screws holding it on its very likely just stuck on with adhesive strips and it should pull off leaving the holder attached to the bumper Additionally if the holder appears damaged the bumper will need to come off to get to the holder nuts to remove it some members have removed the holder altogether and gone for different style plate, see Robs car below
BN Coupe
Hmm. It's got white capped screws, one of which has been pushed back with the plate (which is cracked). So I'm hoping a stick-on plate will work. Will need to straighten the holder a bit first though.
Administrators hughezee Posted February 12, 2016 Administrators Report Share Posted February 12, 2016 I would try a straighten the holder if your are thinking of going for sticky tabs, quick blast of hair dryer may help
BN Coupe
It's many years since I've had enough hair to warrant the use of a dryer... These days it barely makes the towel damp. 3
