Founding Member PaulS Posted August 28, 2017 Founding Member Report Share Posted August 28, 2017 Been out for a run today and seem to have a grumbling wheel bearing. Not sure where as yet WIth front O/S damage repair and a recent rear O/S brake burn its not that surprising........ But looking around there seem to be some reasonably priced Optimal front bearings (£36 ish) but rear bearings seem to come as a replacement hub - is that correct? Are Optimal bearings OK? Or are there other recomendations? Or even recomendations for salvaging what I have in place already? 1

Hi Paul sorry to hear of your suspicions regarding the bearings, never tried optimal bearings on a Honda, I'm genuine OEM or blueprint man myself in this area anyway. Also, you are correct in thinking it's odd about the rear bearing, but it is normally offered as a complete hub assembly, makes it a dearer job though.
Founding Member Mazda Man Posted August 31, 2017 Founding Member Report Share Posted August 31, 2017 When my old coupe Bluey's bearing was shot the noise was more noticeable under load, ie when turning corners.
