Finally getting round to doing some more jobs on my Coupe, few pictures on how to replace the leaky liquid gasket seal on the 98-02 Accord V6

Firstly get car raised up as best you can, ideally ramps but I'm using axle stands and get the trusty penetrating oil to aid removing the exhaust nuts.

Now unclip and unplug the Pre CAT Back CAT lambda sensors to give you some slack.

Now get the trusty penetrating oil leave for 10mins and remove all 14mm bolts and lower the exhaust down pipe.

Once the pipe is almost free now proceed to drain your oil then start loosening the 10mm bolts ;)

So once all the sump bolts are loosened proceed to remove them, including the two 14mm ones going into the transmission case.

Also don't forget to remove the steel inspection plate as there are two more 10mm bolts hidden ;)

I used a sharp blade and a fine sanding block to clean and prep the two joining surfaces  ^_^

Apply your liquid gasket evenly 2-3mm in height should be more than enough, I used LOCTITE SI 5660, if in doubt use Honda bond ;)

All sorted :) I would recommend leaving the gasket 24-48 hours to properly dry before refilling with oil and there's not much effort in tightening the sump bolts 7-8 pound-foot (torque)

and follow the sequence illustrated above..
