Administrators hughezee Posted October 15, 2020 Administrators Report Share Posted October 15, 2020 I frequently get asked about the engine mounts on the Accord Coupe V6 which is essentially a derived 1997 Acura CL a very luxurious car of its day. As well the chassis engine and transmission which all carried over with oil-filled subframe bushings and extra rubber dampers (sadly 2.0-2.3 coupe didn't benefit) also the engine mounts carried over too. All oil-filled and active mounts too, so thought I would share a video from good old eric the car guy who explains things pretty well. Enjoy folks🖐️ 4
Moderators PTR200S Posted October 16, 2020 Moderators Report Share Posted October 16, 2020 Nice video that, Stu 🙂 very easy to understand and of interest to Elysion owners who have a sophisticated engine mount system...not really looked into that but Honda made a big thing about it in the Elysion because the 6 cylinder down to 3 fuel saver system relies on these engine mounts to reduce the vibration noise in the cabin giving a very quiet ride.
