Administrators hughezee Posted February 11, 2015 Administrators Report Share Posted February 11, 2015 This topic follows the 2000-2004 recall for dash backlight failure where most of UK Accord V6 coupes where recalled for replacement multiplexer as they had a design flaw. Nevertheless, the unit is very sensitive and can easily fail after anybody tampers with the interior electrics e.g aftermarket radio fitted and one or two coupes did slip through the net as well. There is bypass fix shown in the above picture if you join these wires (black taped) on the far left plug located on the back of the instrument cluster Note: this fix is not always guaranteed to work, so I’ve illustrated below the removal & installation of a driver’s side fuse board. This will allow the unit to be accessed properly for easy installation of a replacement multiplexer, well a new units cost £200 ish Any questions please ask
