    Bit of an update, I went and checked all the fluids etc and all were fine. But now the light has not come back on again. I've done about 30 miles and not had it come back on. Do you think the sub zero temps could have caused it to come on?

    Thanks for your advice. I think I'll get the adapter and take it to my local garage and have them look into it I think. Seems like the best way.

    Hi guys. The check engine light came on as I was driving home yesterday. How worried should I be? Should I book it in a garage to have a look at?

    Good idea. I'm having my brake fluid replaced as Stu tested and it had high moisture. That's on Wednesday

    The patch hasn't dried up over a few days now so I don't think it's just water.

    There has been a wet patch under the car (behind the offside front tyre) I thought it was a slow oil leak that's been highlighted before but could be this?
