Administrators hughezee Posted December 24, 2015 Administrators Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 Well I decided to give my ageing A.C system system a tune up and to make my "Expensive" A.C compressors life allot easier with a new condenser and thought I would share some pic's. Please note: Before working on your air conditioning system I advise you to get your system recovered (removal of refrigerant) so its safe to work on. Also I would strongly recommend anybody attempting a D.I.Y repair please wear eye protection and a breather mask and gloves just in case your system is blocked and could be retaining some pressure. I replaced several parts of the system, including fixing a leak and these are covered by separate topics and should you have any questions please ask and roll on a hot summer folks
Administrators hughezee Posted November 3, 2017 Author Administrators Report Share Posted November 3, 2017 Retro Rich's coupe also gets an A.C overhaul, new condenser + receiver drier as the old one looks like its leaked around the seals. Also gave any corroded or oxidised pipework a sanding and sprucing, would be rude not to really.

Administrators hughezee Posted March 22, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted March 22, 2019 @MIKE_RAVEN the new condenser going in on Mikes motor, the old one was falling apart and as turns out the A.C hasn't been used in some time, well it had no refrigerant at all. 😲 Despite the new condenser its taking time to get the A.C working one valve and two seals have gone and still another leak to trace as it's still not holding a vacuum. 😣 1

Very very happy Great to see you Mike, I managed to get the A.C working yesterday too, ice cold although the clutch on the compressor is a little noisy on initial start, hopefully, this will go away with use...
