Accord Coupe Tailgate Spring Failure "NO LIFT WHEN OPENED"

I mentioned the fact my boot didn't spring up when opened in another post and well item(s) 19-20 p/n:74871S82G00-74872S82G00 pictured below are to blame, and I will be replacing item: 21 p/n: 74873SM4003 for good measure  which holds the bars together creating the tension.

So it's gonna be a cool £55 to sort this problem, but will it solve the issue for good hmmm   Well like many other things revised on the coupe's this time to accommodate extra weight for trim and the addition of spoiler  the metal isn't noticeably thinner or thicker between either version just a better coating on one?

Anyway, both versions are in fact the same price although have different part numbers: 74871S82A00ZZ - 74872S82A00ZZ.
