  1. I'm quite tempted as I do like the MKI 800's, just not 100% sure if I have the appropriate funding for it at the moment. Either way, it's another that would require £102 a year to insure!
  2. Hmm, I would love a MKI 800, especially an 827, even the cloth interior doesn't bother me. Looking on ebay I can see that a replacement indicator (unit not just lens) is around £15, the button could wait until a wiper unit or aircon unit come up cheap (as they all use the same buttons), cambelt/waterpump at around £100 (might be cheaper I didn't look too hard). So with a little TLC that would give a nice condition MKI 827 for £680 + £35 for the train. Wonder if I could talk the other half into letting me look at it, looks like they're a dealer so might take the credit card There also about 15 minutes walk from the train station.
  3. I quite like this one at £565, if only I had the cash in my pocket I'd be going to look at it. That said though, it might not be the best bargain as it does need a little work and the paintwork seems to be a different shade of red on each panel. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201501270475787/sort/default/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/page/1/model/800/make/rover/radius/1501/postcode/ct92tb/usedcars?logcode=p
  4. To be honest, the thought of painting an exhaust has never crossed my mind, but then I tend to go for the shorter pipes that are out of sight (what that really means is that I'm too tight for a stainless back box )
  5. Looks like my memory might have been swaying the right way, glad to hear you may have found the route of it. Get those callipers checked
  6. I had this on one of the old Rovers, I can't remember which it was but it either turned out to be a slightly low level in the brake reservoir, worn pads or a loose cable... Can't quite remember which one, but my memory is swaying towards fluid levels. Chances are a jet wash would be more likely to dislodge anything that would snag the cable, but it might be worth spraying a load of lube down the end of the cable sleeve just in case waters got in and removed the lubrication between the cable and cover.

    Hello... again

Thank you all for the warm re-welcome. Winter hibernation, that sounds like a good plan, might have to go for a 4 month sleep too Well, maybe not, there is way too much to do!
  8. Hi all, I disappear for a bit and the site moves? Anyhow, I'm Jim, I live in Margate (or Mar-ghetto) and have MK VII tourer for my daily driver. See you all around the boards.
