  1. Thanks C, good idea but I bit the bullet and paid for new, car booked in to have 3 boxes fitted on Monday so hopefully will be purring along again shortly, I know what you mean about getting rare and reflected in the used prices creeping up, at the end of the day I think they are brilliant cars and worth holding on to as will be collectable one day soon similar to this little cracker...https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/1999-honda-nsx-auto-mk1-8EaGV8
  2. Hi, thanks for a really brilliant response, I was humming and haring about changing the size and sound of the car as to be honest I find it a little sedate a little refined when sometimes you want to hear the sweet V6.. but I ended up buying OEM exhaust as my local Honda dealer in Stratford (parts guy Daniel) was brilliant and gave me a good discount so I ended up getting all 3 pipes, 2 rear boxes and long centre pipe that splits one end and goes up to the cat on the other for £555 all in. I know the stainless would never need replacing but chances are this system has lasted 20+ years so expect this new one to probably outlast me 🙂
  3. Thanks that's interesting as I was wondering if I should replace the mid pipe also. The main problem is one of the rear boxes has blown a hole where the pipe exits the box car forward. I put gumgum paste as a patch which lasted a couple of months but has blow out the paste and now makes a nasty rasp so its time to sort properly. A local garage said they couldn't weld as there isn't enough material. I trust these guys as they're are normally quite resourceful, proper no mess kind of outfit. They also drew a blank on finding aftermarket parts which is why I called Honda direct. Good news is they have the exhaust parts in stock in the Honda factory in Belgium but bad news at a cost. To be fair Stratford Honda parts did offer a 25% discount which brought the total down to £561 for all 3 pipes so not excessive really, I'm just someone who likes to drill down on motoring costs. I'll let you know what they say, thanks again.
  4. Thanks for your response, much appreciated. I've looked up a local exhaust place and will contact them in the morning.
  5. Hi, I'm looking for a rear exhaust for my 2000MY v6 coupe but am struggling to find aftermarket parts only expensive Honda OE. Centre Exhaust section 18220-S80A02 (quoted £240) Rear box RHS (Drivers) 18035-S87A00 (quoted £280) Rear box LHS (Pass) 18030-S87A00 (quoted £280) Does anyone have or know where I can get replacements not at silly money? Cheers
