  1. Thank you very much for all the help! Thanks a lot for the page with the part numbers as well, it will help a lot, as most of the places mix them up with the normal eu accord, and many parts are not compatible ( first hand experience with altenator and ac compressor, just to mention the big ones ) The timing kit is on the way, gonna be SKF with water pump, as it was on sale (autodoc). The Idle surge is not sorted yet, as unfortunately me and my car are in different countries at the moment. Ordered one valve before you posted the one on ebay. We will see if that's the issue. Hopefully it will be sorted soon, as I plan to put some serious miles in the car soon, doing some cross europe trips.
  2. Thank you very much! I'm gonna check the idle control valve, as well the vacum tubes, as I saw that can be as well. Thank you very much for the OEM number, it is a bit tricky to find the correct parts, as most of the pages gomes up with the parts for the 4 door, but they are not always the same (had that issue with altenator and ac pump) Do you might happen the OEM number of the timing belt kit with water pump as well? Don't want to get the wong one accidentally. Thank you!
  3. Hi! I have this idle surge issue with my car, wich just started recently out of blue. When I start the car cold, it has the rev betveen 2000-2500 stable, push the gas once, and it start to have a surge between 1500-2000 revs, and keep that surge hot or cold. Any idea where should I start? If I have to change the idle control valve, is the one for the 2.3l compatible? (that's the only one I found online) No check engine, starts straight. Thaks in advance for any help!
  4. Thank you very much, I will have a look on the shield, but I don't think the rubbing noise is from the shield, it is stronger and gives some vibration which you can clearly feel form the gas pedal. I know the inner cv joints are moving a bit up and down, I will check that as well, probably just replace, as they should only be able to move a little in and out. I do think something is off with my wheelbearing, but it wouldn't click or move, doesn't matter how stong I pull the wheel when I checked. As for now I am not sure what is the issue, I was having a look for all parts considered, transmissons as well and almost impossible to find a P2Y7, is there any other transmission compatible, or do you guys know where should I look? Thank you very much again to help me keep my car on road! Without you guys, I would stuggle with parts a lot, if I can even manage to get the correct ones!
  5. Hi guys! It is me again with odd questions. The car makes some odd noises while I'm diving. It has a mettalic noise which is like when you drop some screws or something in the laundry machine. Not form the engine, speeds up a bit whith speed, and stays when the car in neutral as well while I'm driving. The other is even more weird. Sometimes it makes some slightly metalic humming noice, which comes and goes. It is like hmmm hmmm hmmm, and speeds up as I speed up. The most odd in that is, it comes when I turn, when I go straight stays, and if I turn again the same side, most of the times goes. It does both side. and only can hear if I drive on a perfect road. I suspect transmission side cv joint as it moves a bit up and down if I grab on it, wheelbearing on the front, or the transaxile itself. Outer cv joint is new, just about a year old, and the rubber is not broken. The breaks has been just recently changed, pads and disks. The rear break calipper need fome fixing as squeeks a bit, I don't think it has anything to do with it, as the hummig seemingly comes from the right front as I can feel and hear. Big question: what do you think it would be? If it is fom the tranaxile, do you know where can I get an other one? Thengine code is f20b5, and I could only found f20b6, which I assume is not compatible. Thanks a lot for your help
  6. Thanks a lot guys, back on the road, the altenator from the eurocarparts was perfect fit
  7. Thank you very much guys! Yeah I already had issues with the wrongly crossreferenced parts when I had to change the ac pump, was a bit of a headache to find the correct part anywhere, in a correct price as well. I did get the wrong one first (autodoc), luckily they took the wrong part back that time. I think I'll go with the euro car parts, as the autodoc is out of stock, and car is in daily use, even it says it's for shuttle/prelude, I know some parts are actually good for the coupe cg4. On the other hand, what do you think about taking that car for longer trips, like crossing europe, Hungary there and back? I would say it is one of the most realible car from it's age I had, but not as easy to get specific parts as for a passat of the same age. But I guess it comes from the fact it's a rarity in comperison, but that's one of the reason I love it as well. I do want to use that car for many years come, but on the other hand I am a bit worried about the parts supply and to take it out of the country, as may not be easy to fix, get parts abroad if anything goes wrong on the trip.
  8. Hey guys! I have an Accord Coupe CG4 2.0 The altenator recently started to make some funny noise, and doesn't really want to charge properly either. Long story short, want to change my altenator, but the one I found and bought on ebay, even they said it is for my car, is actually for a normal accord with a 2 pin connector, while mine as you know has 4 pin on it. With some research I have found one aftermarket, but on the product code there are minor differences and it is said to be for a 2.3 and the part code is: Replacement For: (for Reference Only): DENSO1012119990 DENSO1022111010 HONDA31100PAAA01 HONDACJU99 HONDACJV01 LUCASLRA02277 LUCASLRA2277 While mine is: Honda CJV00 / Denso TN 102211-1000 Please help if it the correct part for mine as well or if I have to try to find an other one somewhere else Thank you very much for your help
  9. First of all thank you to be here, I'm sure I will have a lot of questions in the future And thank you very much for your help as well!!!
  10. Hi all! I have a cg4 2.0 accord coupe, and the passenger window regulator is need to be changed as it doesn't close properly. I have found one, which is from the same year, but from a cg2 3.0 accord coupe. My question is, is there any difference in between these parts or not? And over all is what is the difference in between cg2 and cg4 Thank you very much for all your help guys!
