Well I suck at updates, got the 20% tints done and bloody love it, controversially I'm going to get the rear lights tinted with film rather than a spray then if she moves to a new owner or I don't like it I can just remove it. Could someone please help me with a different steering wheel as I just feel the accord one feels massive.

Sooo just had news from my mate at Image tints in wigan and because the back window is so big he only has a 20% tint in that size, I think that's going to be ok as I've still got fair visibility then while looking stylish 😁

Yeh true but I don't want to have loads of choice things to undo if I sell the cat so am definitely re thinking the red choice. I definitely want to remove the rear badges aside from the centre honda H. So you the outer words have any pins behind them or just stuck on?

Yep cheers mate, the work paid off, spoiler was £20 to buy and £50 to paint. 😁 Not sure what colour honda stcikers to put on them yet or maybe something completely different. Ideas welcome

My other task today was sorting some spare centre caps in my colour of choice. Enamel red, needs another coat but once they are dry I'll get some stickers or badges to go on them

Nope I think it's maybe from the next gen up but unsure, no words printed on the spoiler and thankfully yes it has a gap so no need to lift the bootlid to clean that bit 😋 I was proud of my method of re routing the wire thru using magnets tapped to the wire then tracing it thru.

Soo the new spoiler brake wire is wired in via the oem centre brake plug but it just doesn't seem bright at all compared to other cars you see on the road. It's not like led's are blown and they all light up. I guess I just expected it to be brighter.

I'll get a better picture once the rain fecks off. Did use a grommet as the fit is so tight but the edges are slightly raised so I'm going to clear silicone them once I've wired the brake lightand made sure it's sorted

Neeeeeews 😁 Spoiler is finally on. Tight fit with the bolts but it's on. Rain has stopped me doing the wiring but that a ten minute job.

Hey thank you for all the info guys I'm guna have another good read through it all then have a crack at getting it fitted today. As you say the outside holes will be fine as they run on the rain channels it's just the wire hole, I reckon cut the grommet then silicone the wire so the super glue doesn't stick to the wire while it dries, then I can run the grommet up and down as needed. Got to check the brake light works bit I checked it off an AA battery and it lit up. I had a good pick at the rear arches yesterday whilst washing her and wow got some good chunks off and there is a hole where it meets the sill cover on the passenger side which I thought was the better side. Mot is due July next year so I've got that long to save up to get her fixed or what ever path I decide. I've now got a spare set of honda centre caps so I'm going to use some spray mask and spray them up. I sanded off alp the bad bits so will use the mask spray then peel off on the badge and spray the surrounding bit

I'm just wondering should i put the sikaflex in the dodgy hole then bolt it in and around the wire hole or just use silicone for the wire hole? Much appreciated mate and as you say one job at a time which is why I'm not planning the bumper repair yet as I want to get the spoiler fitted when the weather allows altho I do have access to a huge shuttered barn so may get it done soon then the exhaust.

Cheers for the tyre info mate. It has no grommet on the wire as I had to feed it back through after it was painted. What else could I use as I don't have any silicone just through white sikaflex I bought earlier. The only reason I want to stick the ears of the spoiler down is one of the holes has lost its thread so I have had to heat it up prior to paint and make a thread with a slightly larger bolt and am just not sure how strong a hold it will have but having said that it's got 3 other bolts holding it down.

Ok I have some questions regarding tyres and sikaflex. First I've been offered 2 tyres for free which are 235/45/17. Would these be ok to go on the back wheels which are a 7.5j and offset 55? Then put 225/45/17 on the front? The spoiler so I've bought some sikaflex which I'm going to use to seal the wire hole but is this stuff strong enough to attach the spoiler on the furthest most edges

🤣🤣 i should mount it to the back of the armchair. That is a very good point, I meant to start it this morning but I have no sealant and need to find out where to pop the wire out from where he's drilled the boot. Definitely need to get some before and after pics up but she is soo dirty at the moment I need to polish the boot lid while there is no spoiler on. Hmm well the tints were meant to happen yesterday but well I had a brain fart and because I'd used my satnav to get me to Bolton to collect the new bit same better condition wheels I thought that was where the paint shop was but it was it was in bury and Bury to wigan is like 50 mins not the 20 mins I initially thought so I miss my tint appointment 😭

Aah thank you I think I'll just unplug the factory one then use those wires and tap into them to get power for my new one 😁

It seems I'm rubbish at posting pictures so will update over the next few days, the tints didn't happen last week but she is in this weds at 2.30 getting them done, spoiler is painted and ready to go on I've just got to collect it. Once those jobs are done I'm going to have a measure up regarding the seat belt holder thingy ma bob. Shall we talk about wheels as I feel I made a very good decision 😁
