Logohotrod
New " old guy on the block " , so cut me some slack . Honda and Map vehicle engineer for decades now retired and playing with cars . I have built some very quick cars over the decades . I now have 2 Honda Accord 3.0V6 Coupes , one a 2000 in silver one 99 in emerald green both being slowly restored and problems solved . Trying to hack the Motorola PCM after creating pin out and stim form scratch . I know what the chips do inside these things . Have Honda Logo Stock Rod build under way and Honda HRV tow car/van . My son (22) has followed me and owns a variety of Honda motorcycles and cars and probably now carries more parts for 90s Civics etc than our local Glyn Hopkin dealership . He is a specialised coach builder/engineer in this part of Essex . As an I Mech E always happy to help with advice on tech stuff . Cheers
Site Subscriber’s Chrismas Posted May 12, 2022 Site Subscriber’s Report Share Posted May 12, 2022 Hi George, great to see you've found the forum. I'm not the most technical guy here, look out for Hughzee.(aka Stu), but always available for an opinion or 3 on lots of subjects. I was featured (ahhheem😆😆😆) in the recent Classic Retro Modern mag, with my 3.0V6 . Photos featured elsewhere on this site. Please post some photos of your projects. I'm no mechanic or engineer..what is an I Mech E?

Had a metallic burgundy Rover version that I rebuilt back in the day . Was front ended so not too difficult to repair as parts were plentiful back then . I live in North Essex near Colchester and have seen the posters for the Clacton Classic Car Show around so hopefully my Green Accord will be ready by then , not to enter but to cruise to the show . If you fancy another, drop me a PM - needs some welding and a couple of other bits doing (i have the parts) but isn't accident damaged. 11 minutes ago, Logohotrod said: I live in North Essex near Colchester and have seen the posters for the Clacton Classic Car Show I was down your neck of the woods a week ago saturday, little place called Wickford. Saw a weekly Classic Car meet advertised in a pub called the Dick Turpin, wednesday evening if memory serves.
Logohotrod
I have 2 already but Im always interested but the price has to be good .I'm picking up my Emerald Green one after the n/s fill was slightly damaged and door filled in after being hit by a white van driver on the lanes . I had to steer into the low hedge to avoid him but he still caught my door . The exhaust was ripped off and whatever was in the hedge filled the n/s door in an pushed the plastic fill cover and metal fill seam etc up . Its now repaired and the replacement door shell fitted ready for refitting mechs , glass and trim. I straightened the mangled cill cover over my halogen hob and repaired the snapped lugs and splits with my HD solder and rattle can tops ( same material ) filled the low spots and damage with bumper filler primed and painted it . Honda has the clips for the chrome door trim , and all the fill and bumper ones are still available but very little else . I'll try and find a date for the show at Clacton just in case you're in the Essex area again at the right time . Cheers George
